Christ Clinic in Katy Announces Move to New Location at The Katy Gardens
For nearly 25 years, Christ Clinic has been a quiet cornerstone of Katy, providing healthcare to people who often have nowhere else to turn. Now, the clinic is preparing for a big change: a move to a new location at The Katy Gardens, located at 1040 Schlipf Rd., Katy, TX 77493.
This change marks a significant milestone for Christ Clinic, which started in 2000 as a weekly wellness ministry in a local church gym. Over the years, it has grown into a vital resource for the uninsured and underinsured, operating as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit since 2012. Today, the clinic offers patient-centered primary care, leveraging strong provider networks and diversified funding to deliver accessible, high-quality medical services.
“We’ve been through so much as an organization,” said Lara Mautz, Executive Director of Christ Clinic. “From our humble beginnings in a gym to becoming an independent clinic, every step has been guided by faith and supported by the people who believe in our mission.”
Why the Move?
The clinic’s current lease at 25722 Kingsland Blvd. near Katy Mills is coming to an end, prompting a search for a new space. The opportunity at The Katy Gardens came at the right time, offering room to grow and a shared sense of purpose with its new hosts.
“The time to renew our lease was rapidly approaching, and we were blessed to connect with mission-minded business leaders at Katy Gardens,” Mautz explained. “Their generosity and vision resonated with us. We see this as a chance to deepen our connection with the community.”

The Human Impact
For patients, the move represents more than just a change of address. It’s a reminder of the clinic’s enduring commitment to care, delivered with dignity and respect. Christ Clinic serves a diverse group of patients—each with unique challenges—and provides services that often make the difference between getting help and going without.
“It’s about being there for people when they need it most,” Mautz shared. “We see individuals and families who feel like they’ve been forgotten, and we strive to offer them not just medical care, but hope.”
A Community Effort
The transition to the new location has been made possible through the support of local partners, including stewards at Katy Gardens and Houston's Best Movers, who sponsored the move. The clinic anticipates minimal downtime during the transition and plans to announce a grand opening soon.
“We’re incredibly grateful for the people who have supported us throughout this process,” Mautz said. “It’s their faithfulness and generosity that allow us to continue this work.”
