CFISD Student Artwork Selected for TAEA Youth Art Month Exhibit

Three pieces of art from three CFISD students were selected to be part of the 2024 Texas Art Education Association (TAEA) Youth Art Month Exhibit at the Bullock Texas State History Museum in Austin.

Aragon Middle School eighth grade student Tyler Park, Cypress Springs High School senior Brandon Romans and Langham Creek High School senior Catriona Clarke all had their works selected out of the eight submitted by CFISD for the exhibit.

“I am thrilled that three of our talented students have been selected to showcase their exceptional artworks at the prestigious 2024 Texas Art Education Association’s Youth Art Month Exhibition,” said Lee Carrier, visual arts coordinator. “Their artistic achievements not only reflect their talent, but also highlight the excellence and creativity within our school district. I would like to express my gratitude to TAEA and the Bullock Texas State History Museum for providing this invaluable opportunity to showcase student artwork and allowing CFISD to be part of the celebration of National Youth Art Month. We look forward to continued success in fostering creativity and artistic expression within our school community.”

The exhibit showcases pre-K through 12th grade works of art from across the state of Texas as part of Youth Art Month, which is celebrated during the month of March. Youth Art Month is a nationally recognized program that emphasizes the value of art education for all children, encourages support for quality art programs and promotes the importance of art appreciation for all people.
