In the early hours after Beryl moved out of the region, CenterPoint swiftly mobilized its crew, both internal and those sourced from mutual assistance, to kickstart the restoration process. As reported by the company on July 8th, 2024, it has already restored power to nearly 285,000 customers by 8 p.m. CT.
According to a recent customer restoration update, CenterPoint expects to have restored power to 1 million affected customers by the end of the day on Wednesday, July 10th. This projection is based on the company's ongoing damage assessment and initial restoration successes.
