Brookwood Casserole Delivery Days Are Back: Frozen Favorites Making Back-to-School Easier for Houston-Area Families
As families across Greater Houston prepare for the annual whirlwind of back-to-school schedules, The Brookwood Community is offering a helping hand—and a warm meal—with the return of its popular Brookwood Casserole Delivery Days this August. From Katy to Cypress and Memorial to Brookshire, busy parents can now skip the grocery store scramble and pick up a delicious, frozen casserole on their way home—all while supporting a mission that champions adults with disabilities.
A Local Favorite Returns Just in Time
Between back-to-school chaos, college drop-offs, and trying to remember where the car is parked, dinner shouldn’t be the thing that breaks a parent’s sanity. This year’s casserole campaign offers three crave-worthy options—Beef & Spinach Lasagna, Fiesta Chicken Enchiladas, and King Ranch Chicken—all frozen, oven-ready, and designed to feed 2–4 people.
For $35 each, these handcrafted meals provide more than convenience. Every purchase helps empower Brookwood’s Citizens—adults with disabilities who live and work with purpose across the nonprofit’s 485-acre campus in Brookshire and its satellite locations in Richmond and The Woodlands.

More Than a Meal: A Mission With Heart
Founded in the 1980s, The Brookwood Community is more than a nonprofit—it’s a thriving ecosystem built around neurodiversity, dignity, and purpose. Over 200 Citizens work in Brookwood’s enterprises, including horticulture, ceramics, and culinary arts. More than 100 of those Citizens live on campus, where they experience holistic care, meaningful work, spiritual connection, and social belonging.
At the heart of Brookwood’s culinary offerings is the Brookwood Café, a garden-view eatery open Monday through Saturday from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The Café not only serves exceptional cuisine but also gives Citizens the opportunity to serve guests directly. Brookwood also offers full-service catering—ranging from elegant weddings to casual corporate luncheons—with customizable menus designed by their Executive Chef.
