Bojangles Southern-Style Chicken Set to Open in Cypress
Bojangles is making its way to Cypress in an exciting expansion move that brings the taste of the Carolinas to the Greater Houston Area. The restaurant chain, known for its Southern-style chicken, biscuits, and tea, will open this new location at 9534 Fry Road, near Bridgeland. According to TDLR, construction for the Cypress branch is set to begin in early January 2025, with completion anticipated by March of the same year.
Bojangles marks its humble beginnings back to 1977, when it opened its doors for the first time in Charlotte, North Carolina. The originality of the brand, made up of authentic Southern food recipes and friendly hospitality, has allowed the brand to flourish and expand to over 800 locations across 17 states, most notably in the Carolinas and Georgia. Bojangles is not just about serving delicious meals, but doing good in the communities it serves, living up to its catchy tagline – “It’s Bo Time!”.

Bojangles offers a menu focused on Southern comfort food, featuring their renowned Cajun-seasoned fried chicken available in various formats, including chicken sandwiches and tenders. The menu includes options for family meals and sweet treats like Bo-Berry biscuits, along with a selection of beverages such as freshly brewed iced tea.
While Cypress gets ready to welcome Bojangles, the popular eatery is also spreading its wings elsewhere in the area. Tomball, Richmond, and Spring have their own outlets in the pipeline, while Webster and Baytown further out from Houston are also soon to experience what Bojangles has to offer.
