Another Nine Bringing 24/7 Indoor Golf Experience to Cypress
For Cypress golfers, the next tee time may soon require little more than a short drive — and it will not depend on daylight, summer heat or a clear weather forecast.
Another Nine, a growing indoor golf concept built around private Trackman simulator suites and around-the-clock access, has leased 3,044 square feet of retail space at Cypress Village Station, near U.S. 290 and Skinner Road in Cypress, according to NewQuest. The company's website now lists its Cypress-TX location at 25282 Northwest Fwy., Cypress, TX 77429 as "Coming Soon." The space was formerly occupied by Staffmark.
The arrival will add another recreation and entertainment option along the busy U.S. 290 corridor while giving golfers something particularly useful in the Greater Houston area: a place to keep swinging regardless of the weather.
What Another Nine Is Bringing to Cypress
Another Nine is not a traditional driving range or an open room filled with simulator bays. The company's model centers on fully private indoor golf simulator suites that guests reserve online and access through a code sent by text message and email.
Inside, golfers use Trackman technology to play more than 350 virtual courses, work on their swings using practice ranges and analytics, or try golf-oriented games. The suites also include seating, space for dining, smart TVs with sports programming and mini refrigerators. Another Nine advertises its facilities as self-service, available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with reservations available for as little as one hour and no membership required.
That flexibility could make the Cypress indoor golf location useful for several kinds of players — from experienced golfers looking for additional practice time to beginners who may prefer learning in a private setting. It also creates another option for friends looking to play a round together without committing several hours to an outdoor course.
For Houston-area golfers accustomed to adjusting plans around thunderstorms, extreme heat and early winter sunsets, the weather-proof aspect is likely to be part of the appeal.
A Golf Concept Started by Two Dads Who Wanted to Play More
Another Nine was founded in 2023 by two fathers who, according to the company, were simply trying to find a way to play more golf.
The idea developed into a business designed to make the sport easier to fit around work, family and other responsibilities. Another Nine describes its mission as expanding access to golf for people of different schedules and skill levels, built around those moments when a player finishes a round and thinks, "...yeah, I could play another nine."
The Cypress location reflects a much larger expansion underway for the Cincinnati-founded company.
Another Nine announced in August that it had awarded more than 80 franchise territories across 16 states, with 33 franchise owners in its network and additional locations expected to open through the end of 2026 and into 2027. Houston, Austin and Dallas-Fort Worth are among the Texas markets included in that growth.
Cypress will be part of the company's growing Houston-area footprint. Another Nine also operates an Oak Ridge North location serving the north Houston area, while the company's locations directory identifies Cypress as its next Houston-area site currently listed as coming soon.
Cypress Village Station Lands a 3,044-Square-Foot Tenant
According to information provided about the real estate transaction, Another Nine leased 3,044 square feet at Cypress Village Station from NewQuest.
Nina Kuhn-Irwin of NewQuest represented the landlord in the transaction, while Tanner Etheridge and Zach Smith of Morrow Hill represented Another Nine.
The center's location near U.S. 290 and Skinner Road places the new indoor golf business within one of Cypress' established retail corridors, making it accessible to residents throughout Cypress as well as commuters traveling the Northwest Freeway.
For the surrounding community, the lease is another example of retail centers evolving beyond traditional shopping and dining. Fitness studios, entertainment venues and experience-based businesses have increasingly become part of the mix, giving residents reasons to visit neighborhood commercial centers that do not necessarily involve buying traditional retail goods.
Private Suites, Groups and BYOB
Another Nine's private-suite approach also gives the business a social component.
The company says its simulator suites can comfortably accommodate groups of up to five people, with pricing based on the suite and time rather than the number of golfers. Guests can bring their own clubs, while club rentals are available at existing locations. Another Nine also allows outside food and beverages and advertises its locations as BYOB, with mini refrigerators inside the suites.
For golfers concentrating on improvement, Trackman systems provide detailed information about each shot and swing. For more casual visitors, the same technology can recreate rounds on hundreds of courses without leaving Cypress.
The company generally recommends allowing about one hour per player to complete 18 holes, meaning two golfers could typically plan on roughly two hours for a full simulated round, depending on pace and how they use their reservation.
A Business Model Designed for Anytime Access
One of the more unusual elements of Another Nine is what visitors may not find when they walk inside: a conventional front desk.
The concept is built around automated, self-service access. Golfers book online, receive their individual entry information and then enter the facility and reserved suite themselves. Another Nine describes the model as offering 24/7 access throughout the year.
That could mean an early-morning practice session before work, a lunchtime visit, an evening round with friends or a late-night session when traditional golf facilities would normally be closed.
The company's private suites also distinguish it from indoor golf businesses built around open hitting bays. Another Nine emphasizes that each group has its own enclosed space rather than sharing a larger golf-simulator room.
Another Nine Also Pledges a Portion of Profits to Community Organizations
The company's community-focused efforts extend beyond its golf facilities.
Another Nine participates in Pledge 1%, a global initiative encouraging businesses to dedicate a portion of their time, products, profits or equity to charitable causes. Another Nine says it shares 1% of its profits with organizations serving people in the communities where it operates.
Its previously identified charitable recipients include Ronald McDonald House of Cincinnati and Freestore Foodbank.
As the company expands into markets such as Cypress, that commitment adds another piece to a business model that started with a fairly relatable idea: two dads wanting an easier way to squeeze more golf into everyday life.
When Will Another Nine Cypress Open?
For now, Cypress golfers will have to keep their clubs ready.
Another Nine's website lists the Cypress-TX location as "Coming Soon," but does not currently provide a specific grand opening date. The confirmed location is 25282 Northwest Fwy., Cypress, TX 77429, at Cypress Village Station near Skinner Road.
Once it opens, the 24/7 indoor golf simulator business will give Cypress residents another option for recreation close to home — whether someone is trying to lower a handicap, introduce a friend to golf or simply find time for another nine without checking the forecast first.
