Anniston Pool Season Returns: Summer Swim Schedule, Safety Updates and Resident Access Details
As temperatures begin climbing across the Greater Houston area, the beginning of pool season in Anniston is bringing a familiar sign that summer has officially arrived. The Anniston community pool opened for the 2026 season on Saturday, May 23, giving residents a place to cool off, gather with neighbors, and enjoy one of the neighborhood’s most popular seasonal amenities through Labor Day weekend.
For many families in Anniston, the neighborhood pool is more than just a place to swim. It becomes a daily summer routine for children on school break, a weekend gathering spot for parents and friends, and a way for neighbors to connect close to home without leaving the community.
The 2026 Anniston pool season will continue through September 7, 2026, officially closing after the Labor Day holiday.
Anniston Pool Hours for the 2026 Season
Residents should note that the pool schedule changes slightly depending on the month.
May Pool Schedule
- During May, the Anniston pool will be open on weekends only.
June Through September Pool Schedule
Beginning in June, the pool will follow a regular weekly operating schedule:
- Mondays: Closed for routine maintenance
- Tuesdays through Saturdays: Open from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- Sundays: Open from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Community management also noted that if a holiday falls on a Monday, the pool will remain open that day for resident use and instead close on Tuesday for maintenance.
The extended summer schedule is expected to provide families with consistent daytime and evening access throughout the hottest months of the year.
Safety Rules Remain a Priority at the Anniston Pool
Along with reopening for summer fun, Anniston residents are being reminded that pool safety remains an important priority for everyone using the facility.
Community officials emphasized that all posted pool rules must be followed to help ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for residents and guests throughout the season.
The complete list of official Anniston pool rules, as well as the pool schedule for future reference, can be viewed at myneighborhoodnews.com/anniston-pool-information.
One policy residents should especially be aware of is the required hourly safety break.
At least once every hour, all swimmers will be required to exit the pool for a 10-minute Safety Break. During this time, residents must remain completely out of the water and behind the pool edge while a lifeguard remains on duty supervising the area.
These scheduled breaks are designed to support swimmer safety, allow lifeguards to maintain visibility and awareness, and help create a safer experience for everyone at the facility during busy summer days.
Pool Access Registration Still Available for Residents
Residents who have not yet completed pool access registration still have time before the summer season gets fully underway.
To obtain pool access, residents must email smile@krjcares.com and provide:
- A picture ID for each person over age 14 requesting access
- The corresponding email address for each person over age 14
- Whether each individual uses an iPhone or Android device
Residents should also note that pool access cannot be granted if there is an outstanding account balance, unless the homeowner is currently participating in an approved payment plan.
Important Information for Anniston Tenants Requesting Pool Access
For renters living within the Anniston community, homeowners must first submit tenant information before pool access can be approved.
Homeowners can complete this process through the KRJ Connect portal at portal.krjcares.com/public.
To submit tenant information, homeowners should:
- Log into the KRJ Connect portal
- Select “Requests” from the menu
- Click “New Request”
- Choose “General Inquiry”
- Select “Submit Tenant Information” from the Request Type dropdown menu
- Include the names, email addresses, and phone numbers for each tenant, along with lease beginning and ending dates
Providing this information ahead of time can help avoid delays once residents begin visiting the pool regularly during peak summer months.
