Yard of the Month: The Lott Family

Yard of the Month: The Lott Family

December 04 2025

Each month, the Champions Park community recognizes a resident whose home brings beauty, pride, and inspiration to the neighborhood. For December, that honor goes to Cori and Tommy Lott of 6611 Gentle Bend, a family well-known for maintaining one of the most thoughtfully designed and meticulously cared-for yards in the subdivision.

This season, the Lott family once again raised the bar—bringing early holiday cheer to Champions Park with a whimsical, handmade Christmas display that neighbors say is truly worth a drive-by. Their décor blends classic holiday magic with charming, handcrafted details that showcase both creativity and craftsmanship.

Among the most talked-about pieces are the oversized handmade cupcake decorations, which sit throughout the yard like something straight out of a Christmas village or sweet shop window. Made entirely by hand, the cupcakes are detailed, playful, and surprisingly realistic—complete with sculpted frosting swirls, bright candy accents, and glittering finishes that catch the glow of the Christmas lights.

Neighbors have shared how much they appreciate the effort and joy the Lotts put into their home each year. Their holiday display arrived early this season, welcoming residents into December with lights, color, and a sense of nostalgia. It’s not just beautiful—it’s personal. Most of their decorations, from the cupcakes to candy-themed accents and cheerful lighted characters, are handcrafted by the family.

For longtime residents, the Lotts’ yard represents what makes Champions Park feel like home: neighbors who take pride in their property, invest in the community’s appearance, and help keep the subdivision one of the most inviting in northwest Houston.

The Champions Park HOA shared its gratitude, noting that families like the Lotts help the neighborhood remain “one of the best in the area” by consistently staying above the line in both curb appeal and community spirit.
