Wingbay Bringing Halal Wings to Fulshear Near Katy West 1 as Cross Creek Ranch Area Dining Continues to Expand
For residents of Katy West 1, the restaurant lineup along Fulshear Bend Drive is continuing to grow — and one of Greater Houston’s newer chicken wing concepts is now preparing to join it.
Wingbay, a Houston-area restaurant specializing in halal chicken wings and tenders, is planning a location at 27125 Fulshear Bend Drive, Suite 600, Fulshear, TX 77441, inside the Cross Creek Ranch Retail Building. The address places the restaurant along a developing commercial corridor serving Cross Creek Ranch and surrounding Fulshear communities.
Project information provided for the restaurant calls for an approximately 1,300-square-foot interior build-out inside an existing shell space, with an estimated construction cost of $200,000. Work is currently scheduled to begin Nov. 1, 2026, with completion targeted for March 1, 2027.
That construction timeline does not necessarily represent an opening date, but it provides a clearer picture of when the space could begin taking shape.
For nearby households, the addition is another small but noticeable sign of how quickly everyday conveniences are filling in around Fulshear. Instead of driving farther into Katy or Richmond for certain restaurant choices, residents are gradually seeing more options arrive closer to home.
Wingbay Has Grown Quickly Across Greater Houston
Wingbay is a relatively young restaurant brand. Community Impact reported that its first location opened in Houston's Montrose area in October 2025. By later that same month, the company had opened its fourth Greater Houston restaurant in Katy, illustrating how quickly the concept began expanding after its debut.
That growth has continued.
Wingbay's current official locations page lists restaurants in Katy, Spring, Houston's Montrose neighborhood, the Medical Center area, Midtown, Richmond and Webster. Its broader website also references Royal Oaks and the FM 1960 area among its location markets, signaling a footprint that remains concentrated primarily around Greater Houston.
The Fulshear restaurant would push that presence farther west into one of Fort Bend County's fast-developing suburban communities.
For Katy West 1 residents, Wingbay's arrival also brings the concept closer than many of its existing restaurants. The brand already operates a Katy location at 806 Katy Fort Bend Road and a Richmond restaurant at 4836 Waterview Town Center Drive.
What Is on the Wingbay Menu?
The name leaves little doubt about the focus.
Wingbay serves both classic bone-in and boneless wings, which customers can order individually, in combos or in larger party bundles. Its menu also includes crispy chicken tenders, seasoned fries, cheese fries, Buffalo ranch fries, Dirty Fries, Cajun fried corn, vegetable sticks, dipping sauces and desserts.
One feature distinguishing Wingbay from many mainstream wing chains is that the company markets its chicken offerings as halal-certified. Its website describes the concept around halal wings, tenders and chicken sandwiches, with sauces ranging from familiar flavors to sweeter, spicier and internationally influenced choices.
Recent menus and reporting have included flavors such as garlic parmesan, lemon pepper, mango habanero and Korean BBQ, along with specialty selections including hot pickle, spicy peach and Mardi Gras.
For families ordering for a game, gathering or neighborhood event, Wingbay also offers larger wing bundles and catering trays. The company says catering orders are available for pickup, while its restaurants generally offer dine-in, takeout and delivery service.
Another Restaurant Joins the Fulshear Bend Drive Pipeline
Wingbay has actually been associated with this Fulshear address for some time.
In January 2026, Community Impact reported that Wingbay was one of three dining concepts confirmed for the Shops at Fulshear at 27125 Fulshear Bend Drive, alongside The Alley and Mr. Baguette. At the time, the restaurants were anticipated as part of the center's late-2026 development pipeline.
The underlying retail building itself is also relatively new. Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation records describe the Cross Creek Ranch Retail project at the same address as a 12,000-square-foot ground-up shell retail building, with construction scheduled from November 2025 into November 2026.
Wingbay's planned interior build-out represents the next stage of that process: turning one of those shell spaces into an operating restaurant.
That distinction matters because a retail center can appear nearly finished from the road while individual tenants still have months of interior construction, inspections, equipment installation and hiring ahead of them.
What Happens Next
Under the currently listed construction schedule, Wingbay's Fulshear interior work is expected to run from November 2026 through March 2027. Restaurant opening dates can change as construction, inspections, hiring and other preparations move forward, so residents should consider that timeline a construction estimate rather than a confirmed grand-opening date.
When the doors eventually open, however, Fulshear will become another stop in Wingbay's unusually fast Greater Houston expansion — and residents around Cross Creek Ranch will have one more nearby answer to the familiar question of what to pick up for dinner.
