West Memorial Residents: Save the Date for Two Summer Pool Events Happening in July and August
Summer in West Memorial is about more than beating the Texas heat—it's also a chance for neighbors to come together and enjoy the community amenities that make the neighborhood special.
The West Memorial Civic Association and West Memorial Friends have announced two upcoming resident-only pool events that offer something for both adults and families. While the details are still developing for one event, organizers are encouraging residents to mark their calendars now.
Adults-Only Sip and Swim Scheduled for July 18
The first event on the summer calendar is Sip and Swim, an adults-only evening at the West Memorial Pool on Saturday, July 18, from 8-11 p.m.
West Memorial residents ages 21 and older are invited to enjoy an evening of swimming, music and socializing with neighbors. Attendees may bring their own beverages, although glass bottles are not permitted, and residents are encouraged to bring a snack to share.
Organizers note that an officer will be present during the event, and only residents age 21 and older will be admitted. Parking will not be permitted on Kingsland Road.
For many longtime residents, gatherings like Sip and Swim provide an opportunity to reconnect with neighbors, meet new families and enjoy one of the community's most popular amenities in a relaxed setting.
Dive-In Movie Night Returns August 7
Families can also look forward to a Dive-In Movie Night at the West Memorial Pool on Friday, August 7, from 8-11 p.m.
Residents are encouraged to bring their favorite pool floats and settle in for a back-to-school movie night under the stars. While the movie selection has not yet been announced, organizers will provide popcorn and lemonade for attendees.
As with other community pool events, no glass containers or alcohol will be allowed, and parking will not be permitted on Kingsland Road.
The annual movie night has become a favorite way for families to celebrate the final weeks of summer before students return to the classroom, offering a fun and memorable evening close to home.
What Residents Need to Know
Both events are exclusive to West Memorial residents and are designed to encourage neighborhood connections while making use of the community pool during the summer season.
With one event focused on adults and another geared toward families, the summer lineup offers opportunities for residents of all ages to enjoy time with neighbors and make lasting memories before the season comes to a close.
Residents should watch for additional details, including the Dive-In Movie Night film announcement, as the events draw closer.
