Traders Village Houston to Host 2026 FIFA World Cup Watch Parties This Summer Near Cypress With Soccer, Shopping, Rides and Family Fun
As Houston prepares to welcome the world for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, one local destination is giving soccer fans a place to gather, celebrate and enjoy the tournament atmosphere closer to home.
From June 11 through July 19, Traders Village Houston will host its 2026 World Cup Watch Party series, transforming weekends into a blend of international soccer, family entertainment, shopping and food at its sprawling marketplace on North Eldridge Road near Cypress Ridge High School.
The event comes as Houston takes center stage in one of the largest sporting events in history. The city is scheduled to host seven FIFA World Cup matches at NRG Stadium, including five group-stage matches, a Round of 32 match and a Round of 16 match. The tournament is expected to bring hundreds of thousands of visitors to the region and place Houston in front of a global audience throughout the summer.
For many local residents, however, the excitement of the World Cup won't be limited to downtown Houston. Traders Village is creating a community-focused gathering place where families and friends can follow the action while enjoying everything the popular weekend destination has to offer.

A Houston Landmark That Has Become More Than a Flea Market
For decades, Traders Village Houston has been a weekend destination for bargain hunters, families and small business owners across the region.
Located at 7979 N Eldridge Pkwy, Houston, TX 77041, the property has grown into one of the largest flea markets in Texas, featuring more than 1,500 vendors selling everything from clothing and collectibles to home décor, tools, toys and handcrafted goods. The marketplace reflects Houston's cultural diversity, with vendors representing a wide range of backgrounds and traditions.
What keeps many visitors coming back is that a trip to Traders Village often becomes more than a shopping excursion. Alongside the vendor booths are amusement rides, live entertainment, seasonal festivals and food options that make the venue feel part marketplace, part community gathering place.
The World Cup Watch Party builds on that tradition by bringing together two things Houston is known for: its love of international soccer and its diverse, multicultural community.
Houston's World Cup Moment
The 2026 FIFA World Cup will be the largest World Cup ever staged, with matches taking place across the United States, Canada and Mexico.
Houston's selection as one of the tournament host cities highlights the region's growing influence in international sports and its longstanding passion for soccer. The city has one of the nation's most diverse populations, with communities representing many of the countries competing in the tournament.
For local families who may not be attending matches at NRG Stadium, community watch parties and public viewing events offer another way to participate in the excitement.
At Traders Village, that means fans can spend the morning browsing vendor booths, enjoy lunch with family and friends, watch a World Cup match on the big screen and then finish the day with amusement rides or a little bargain hunting.
