Cypress Creek F.A.C.E. Continues Decades-Long Mission of Arts and Community Enrichment
Founded in the late 1990s, Cypress Creek F.A.C.E. — formally known as the Cypress Creek Foundation for the Arts and Community Enrichment — was created to bring professional performing arts experiences and educational programming to the Greater Houston community.
The organization was established alongside the construction of The Centrum, an acoustically designed concert hall built within the Cypress Creek Christian Church campus in Spring. Since opening in 1997 with a grand-opening concert featuring Marvin Hamlisch, F.A.C.E. has presented nationally and internationally recognized artists spanning jazz, classical, comedy, Broadway, and contemporary music.
Today, Cypress Creek F.A.C.E. operates several arts programs, including the Star-Lit! Series, the Promenade Series, free children’s concerts, educational workshops, scholarship opportunities, and summer orchestra camps for local students.
Its educational outreach efforts have included masterclasses and workshops led by internationally acclaimed artists such as Joshua Bell, Sir James Galway, and Canadian Brass, helping connect local students with professional arts education opportunities.
As live performances continue returning to full strength across the Houston region, F.A.C.E.’s May lineup offers residents an opportunity to experience both world-class chamber music and energetic big-band swing close to home.
For tickets and additional event information, residents are encouraged to visit Cypress Creek F.A.C.E.’s official website at cypresscreekface.org.
