The Woodlands Show Chorus to Hold Open Auditions
At the end of 2022, The Woodlands Show Chorus announced that they are holding two nights of Open Auditions in January, 2023! The first is January 16th and the second is January 23rd, both from 6:15-6:45 pm at the First Presbyterian Church Family Life Center. Interested women of all ages can register for either of these auditions and stay for the TWSC rehearsal. Reading music is not required. Members are provided with sheet music and learning tracks for songs. The Woodlands Show Chorus is an award-winning women's a cappella chorus, under the direction of Master Director, Betty Clipman, and consists of talented singers from all age ranges and walks of life. TWSC is dedicated to producing a professional musical product and enriching the lives of its members and the community through musical excellence. In September 2022, the chorus took the stage in Phoenix, Az to place in the Top Ten out of the 500+ Sweet Adelines International choruses around the world.
2023 will be a busy and exciting year for TWSC. Throughout the year, TWSC works with world-class coaches and competes in international competitions. New members joining during this audition season will have the opportunity to perform with TWSC on stage at competitions, performances and shows! Rehearsals are held every Monday from 7:00-10:00 PM at the First Presbyterian Church in Conroe.
Coming off of a very successful FREE December 12 friends and family performance, where they announced their 10 for 10 give-back program, they are looking forward to regional contest in March and an upcoming Conroe ISD Performance for music students, as well as the Greater Conroe Arts Alliance Spring Art Festival, March 18, 2023, in Historic Downtown Conroe. They are also looking forward to an annual show of which details will be determined soon.
