Spring ISD to Host Annual Back to School Expo on Saturday, July 29 at Dekaney High School
Is your family all ready for school? With the first day of the new school year fast approaching, do you need assistance with registration, language testing, or hearing and vision screenings for your student?
Join Spring ISD for our annual Back to School Expo, 8:30 a.m.–2:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 29 at the Dekaney High School campus, located at 22351 Imperial Valley Dr., Houston, TX 77073. The expo is a great opportunity to learn about community and district resources, meet administrators and other staff members from your child’s campus, and get help with registration!
In addition to language testing and hearing and vision screenings, families can access free school supplies to help get the year started off right. In addition, community groups will be in attendance offering information about resources and activities available to area families, and students can even get free haircuts so they can kick the new school year off in style.
The event welcomes families from the Spring ISD community who are interested in registering their children to attend school in Spring ISD. Representatives from all Spring ISD elementary, middle and high school campuses will be in attendance to meet with families, answer questions about the upcoming school year, and help complete the student registration process.
The event is free and open to all families. For more information about the expo, contact Family Engagement Specialist Siria Zelada at 281-891-6363 or szelada@springisd.org.
In addition to the Back to School Expo, the annual update process for returning Spring ISD students is now open online, with additional in-person support during the expo and on select days and times at the Spring ISD Community Engagement Center. All parents and guardians should verify and update their child’s information before the first day of school on Aug. 10. More information about the annual update process can be found on the district news blog.
