Spring ISD Board of Trustees to Meet in Work Session Jan. 5 and Regular Session Jan. 10
The Spring Independent School District Board of Trustees will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 5 at the Gordon M. Anderson Leadership Center, 16717 Ella Blvd. To ensure public access, the meeting will also be streamed via Zoom.
The agenda includes a review of items that will be presented to the board for approval at the regular board meeting scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 10, also to be held in person and streamed via Zoom.
Presentations of note on Tuesday include a Fall 2022 demographics update, approval of the 2023-2024 Instructional Calendar, approval of the 2023-2034 Education Planning Guide and and an update on the 21st Century Community Learning Centers Program.
The board is also slated to consider approving a Spanish Fluency Retention Stipend for campus administrators; approval of the first reading of Board Policy BJCD (LOCAL) - Superintendent Evaluation; an overview of 2022-2023 School Health Advisory Council (SHAC); approval of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Good Reason Houston and Spring ISD; the consideration of awarding the contract for local and long-distance phone services to the provider recommended by the administration; an update on the Intruder Detection Audit; a review of the report of cooperative purchases exceeding $50,000; and taxpayer refunds.
