Spring ISD Board of Trustees to Meet in Regular Session Jan. 9

The Spring Independent School District Board of Trustees met at 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 4 at the Gordon M. Anderson Leadership Center, located at 16717 Ella Blvd. The meeting was streamed via YouTube.

The agenda included a review of items that will be presented to the board for approval at the regular board meeting scheduled for 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 9 also to be streamed via YouTube.

The board is slated on Thursday to consider approving the Aggie Teacher Education Residency Model (aggieTERM) Subaward Agreement (extension of prior Panther TERM Agreement) with Texas A&M University, the proposed Interlocal Agreement with Harris County Department of Education for the 21st Century Grant Program at Dueitt Middle School, and memorandum of understanding (MOU) between Good Reason Houston, Contigo Ed and Spring ISD.

Other topics on the agenda include consideration of: Request for Proposal (RFP) consideration of authorizing the Superintendent or designee to negotiate, execute and amend contract documents with the construction manager-at-risk (CMAR) firm for the projects of the Education, Performance and Instruction Center (EPIC), Spring High School, and multi-campus heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), reroofing, and film and vestibules; Request for Proposal (RFP) to consider awarding a contract for Disparity Study Consulting Services for three Texas school districts; internet connectivity; 24-006 wireless district refresh and cabling services; and charter bus services to the providers recommended by the administration; a review of the report of cooperative purchases exceeding $50,000; and taxpayer refunds.
