Spring ISD Board of Trustees to Meet in Work Session April 6 and Regular Session April 11
The Spring Independent School District Board of Trustees will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 6 at the Gordon M. Anderson Leadership Center, 16717 Ella Blvd. To ensure public access, the meeting will also be streamed via Zoom.
The agenda includes a review of items that will be presented to the board for approval at the regular board meeting scheduled for 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 11 at the Gordon M. Anderson Leadership Center, 16717 Ella Blvd., also to be held in person and streamed via Zoom.
Presentations of note on Tuesday include a preliminary discussion on the 2023-2024 budget, the Spring ISD's 2022-2023 School Quality Survey results, and an update of the Texas Education Agency's redesign of the STAAR assessment to meet the requirements of House Bill 3906.
The board is also slated to consider approving the Facility Use Agreement between Lone Star College and Spring Early College Academy; approval of the 2023-2024 Textbook Allotment and TEKS Certification; approval of the recommended elementary school boundary adjustments; approval of the renewal of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Rice University and Spring ISD; approval of the second reading of local policies revised in TASB Update 119; approval of the Superintendent or a designee authority to purchase pre-owned truck tractors for trailers from a provider selected by the administration through a formal Request for Proposal (RFP); approval of the third two-year extension for the district's Depository contract with PNC Bank; an update on the Intruder Detection Audit; a review of the report of cooperative purchases exceeding $50,000; and taxpayer refunds.
