SeaWorld San Antonio Christmas Celebration 2026 Returns November 12 With Millions of Lights, New Animal Show and Holiday Favorites

The holiday season is about to get a little brighter in San Antonio, where millions of twinkling lights, familiar Christmas carols and festive family traditions will soon fill the pathways of SeaWorld San Antonio. Beginning November 12, 2026, the park's annual Christmas Celebration returns with more than a dozen holiday-themed areas, returning entertainment favorites and an all-new marine animal presentation.

For San Antonio families looking for Christmas activities, holiday light displays and things to do with kids during November and December, SeaWorld's Christmas Celebration offers an opportunity to enjoy several seasonal experiences in one place. The event runs on select dates through January 4, 2027, with holiday entertainment and displays included in regular park admission.

SeaWorld is promoting the San Antonio event as Texas' biggest Christmas celebration, bringing together traditional holiday festivities, marine-inspired performances and distinctly Texas touches, including cowboy-themed decorations and mariachi Christmas music.

What's New at SeaWorld San Antonio's Christmas Celebration in 2026?

One of the biggest additions to this year's celebration is A Joyful Splash, an all-new presentation featuring beluga whales and Pacific white-sided dolphins.

The new experience joins a lineup of animal presentations and live performances that have become familiar holiday traditions for returning SeaWorld visitors.

Among the returning favorites is Miracles, a nighttime orca presentation set to traditional Christmas music. Combining marine animal performances with seasonal melodies, the show has become one of the park's signature holiday attractions.

Families can also look forward to Clyde and Seamore's Countdown to Christmas, a sea lion and otter adventure featuring the familiar characters' playful antics and holiday humor.

For those who enjoy live theater, O' Wondrous Night returns with a retelling of the first Christmas through the eyes of the animals present in the Nativity story. The award-winning production features elaborate puppetry and more than 30 inspirational Christmas carols.

Together, these performances offer a mix of music, storytelling, animal presentations and family entertainment throughout the holiday season.

Millions of Christmas Lights and 13 Holiday-Themed Areas Bring the Season to Life

For many families, one of the most memorable parts of a Christmas outing is simply walking together beneath the lights, taking pictures and enjoying the decorations.

SeaWorld San Antonio's Christmas Celebration will feature millions of lights across 13 specialty-themed areas, giving visitors different holiday settings to explore as they make their way through the park.

At the Christmas Market, guests can experience a Texas-style Christmas complete with a cowboy Santa and a Christmas tree made from cowboy boots. The display adds a local twist to the traditional holiday atmosphere.

Other decorated areas include Christmas Cove, a nostalgic setting inspired by the 1950s, and an animated light tunnel synchronized to holiday music.

Families can also visit Rudolph's Christmas Town, inspired by the beloved red-nosed reindeer, and Snowman Village, where cheerful snowman characters help bring the winter season to South Texas.

These displays offer families opportunities for holiday photographs and a chance to enjoy Christmas lights in San Antonio without having to travel from one decorated destination to another.

Christmas Parades, Merry Mariachis and Holiday Performers Add to the Festivities

Holiday entertainment at SeaWorld San Antonio extends beyond the park's theaters and animal presentations.

The RhythMotion Christmas Parade returns with colorful floats, music, dancers and whimsical marine-themed characters. The parade combines the energy of a traditional Christmas procession with SeaWorld's ocean-inspired setting.

Along the park's pathways, guests will also encounter a variety of roaming performers through Jolly Pathway Entertainment.

The Merry Mariachis bring a festive fiesta flair to familiar Christmas carols, adding a San Antonio-inspired musical element to the celebration.

Visitors can also take photos with the towering Nutcracker Stilt Walkers and enjoy performances by the Melodic Mistletoes, a new addition to the 2026 holiday lineup featuring seasonal carols.

For families who enjoy live music and spontaneous holiday encounters, these performances provide additional entertainment between scheduled shows and attractions.

SeaWorld San Antonio New Year's Eve Fireworks Will Welcome 2027

The Christmas festivities continue beyond December 25, giving families time to visit during winter break and celebrate the arrival of the new year.

On December 31, SeaWorld San Antonio will host its New Year's Eve Fireworks Celebration, lighting up the night sky as guests prepare to welcome 2027.

The park will also offer an exclusive VIP Fireworks Watch Party and Reception, featuring lakeside viewing and a champagne toast. Reservations are required for the VIP experience.

For San Antonio residents searching for New Year's Eve activities and family-friendly holiday outings, the fireworks celebration provides another seasonal option before the Christmas Celebration concludes in early January.

How Much Does SeaWorld San Antonio's Christmas Celebration Cost?

One of the important details for families planning a holiday outing is that SeaWorld San Antonio's Christmas Celebration is included with regular park admission.

That means guests with valid admission can enjoy the holiday light displays and included seasonal entertainment without purchasing a separate Christmas Celebration event ticket.

Some experiences may require an additional fee or advance reservation, so visitors should review the park's official schedule before arriving.

SeaWorld is also advertising a limited-time Annual Pass promotion, with passes starting as low as $8.50 per month. According to the company's October 29 announcement, the promotional offer includes Aquatica San Antonio access with a qualifying Pass purchase for a limited time, along with free parking and free guest tickets.

Families considering an Annual Pass should review the current pricing, payment terms, eligibility requirements and included benefits before purchasing.

SeaWorld Christmas Celebration 2026 Dates, Tickets and Visitor Information

Because the celebration takes place on select dates, families should confirm operating hours and entertainment schedules before planning a visit. Show availability, reservation requirements and promotional offers may vary.

SeaWorld's Christmas Celebration Also Returns to Orlando and San Diego

While San Antonio's event brings Texas-themed holiday entertainment to local families, SeaWorld is also celebrating the season at its parks in Orlando, Florida, and San Diego, California.

SeaWorld Orlando's Christmas Celebration runs on select dates from November 6 through January 4, with attractions including the Sesame Street Christmas Parade, Winter Wonderland on Ice, Miracles, the Sea of Trees and a holiday fireworks finale. The Orlando park will also recognize Hanukkah and Kwanzaa, celebrate New Year's Eve and host a Three Kings Celebration in early January.

SeaWorld San Diego's celebration runs November 13 through January 3, introducing four new experiences, including Baby Shark's Christmas Adventure, a reimagined Dolphin Island Christmas, the Rock the Holiday Christmas Parade and North Pole Storytime. The park will also feature its 320-foot SkyTower Tree of Lights, seasonal snowfall, returning animal presentations and special holiday fireworks.

Across all three U.S. parks, SeaWorld is combining seasonal entertainment with its year-round marine life attractions and educational experiences.

SeaWorld, part of United Parks & Resorts Inc., operates marine life theme parks and accredited zoo and aquarium facilities. The company reports having helped rescue more than 43,000 animals and says its SeaWorld Conservation Fund, established in 2003, has provided more than $20 million to nearly 1,400 organizations supporting conservation research worldwide.

A San Antonio Holiday Tradition for Families to Enjoy Together

For San Antonio families, the return of SeaWorld's Christmas Celebration adds another option to the city's growing calendar of holiday activities, from neighborhood light displays and community festivals to seasonal performances and family outings.

Whether it's a child's first encounter with Rudolph, a family photograph beneath thousands of lights or an evening spent listening to Christmas carols, the celebration offers opportunities to create memories that can become traditions of their own.

With the festivities beginning November 12 and continuing into the new year, residents have several weeks to find a date that fits their family's holiday plans.
