This year, Santa Claus returns to Barton Creek Square on Saturday, November 7, 2026, with holiday photo opportunities continuing through Christmas Eve, December 24. Santa Photos at Barton Creek Square Begin November 7

The annual Santa Photo Experience at Barton Creek Square gives children an opportunity to meet Santa, share their Christmas wishes and capture a holiday keepsake with family.

Santa will welcome visitors beginning Saturday, November 7, and remain at the mall through Thursday, December 24, 2026.

The opening weekend schedule includes visits from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, November 7, and noon to 6 p.m. on Sunday, November 8. Hours vary throughout the season, with additional appointment availability as Christmas approaches.

The experience will be closed November 9 through 12 and on Thanksgiving Day, November 26. On Christmas Eve, Santa will be available from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Families are encouraged to book early, particularly those hoping to schedule visits on weekends or closer to Christmas.

Caring Santa Offers a Sensory-Friendly Christmas Experience December 6

For some children, meeting Santa can be an overwhelming experience. Crowds, noise and the excitement of a busy shopping center can make a traditional holiday photo session difficult, particularly for children with sensory sensitivities or other special needs.

To help make this holiday tradition more accessible, Barton Creek Square will host A Special Visit with Caring Santa® on Sunday, December 6, from 10 to 11:30 a.m.

The private, sensory-friendly event is designed specifically for children with special needs and their families, offering an alternative to the regular Santa Photo Experience.

Caring Santa provides an opportunity for families who may otherwise find a traditional mall visit challenging to participate in a cherished Christmas activity.

The event will take place on the lower level of Barton Creek Square, in front of the Care Bears Play Area. Photographs will be taken during the event and available for purchase.

Advance reservations are required for Caring Santa, and families should secure their appointments ahead of the December 6 event.

Pet Photos with Santa Bring Four-Legged Family Members into the Holiday Fun

Pet Photos with Santa will take place Sunday, December 13, 2026, from 6 to 8 p.m.

During the event, pet owners can bring their animals to pose with Santa for a seasonal photograph.

Like Caring Santa, the pet photography experience will be held on the mall's lower level in front of the Care Bears Play Area. Photos will be taken and available for purchase.

Unlike the sensory-friendly event, reservations are not required for Pet Photos with Santa, although an online reservation option is available.
