Rodeo at the Racetrack Brings Three Nights of Country Music, PRCA Rodeo Action and a Veterans Benefit to Houston’s Sam Houston Race Park November 5-7

West Houston / Cypress
October 15 2026

Houston-area families looking for a little Texas tradition this November will have a chance to enjoy professional rodeo action, live country music, barbecue and an opportunity to give back to military veterans, all in one familiar northwest Houston destination.

Rodeo at the Racetrack is coming to Sam Houston Race Park November 5-7, 2026, transforming the longtime horse racing venue into a Western entertainment destination featuring Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) competition, post-rodeo concerts and a special fundraising gala benefiting the PTSD Foundation of America's Camp Hope.

Located at 7575 North Sam Houston Parkway West in Houston, near the Cypress, Jersey Village and Willowbrook communities, Sam Houston Race Park will welcome rodeo fans, country music enthusiasts and supporters of local veterans for a weekend that brings together some of Texas' favorite traditions while supporting a cause with deep ties to the Houston community.

Three Nights of Country Music at Rodeo at the Racetrack

Live country music will be a major part of the celebration, with three nights of performances scheduled following the rodeo festivities.

On Thursday, November 5, country artist Camryn Marie will take the stage from 9 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Her performance will accompany the Rodeo at the Racetrack Gala, which raises funds for Camp Hope.

On Friday, November 6, Tyler Tillman will perform alongside featured artist Dawn Michelle from 9:30 p.m. to 11 p.m., giving rodeo attendees an evening of live country entertainment.

The weekend's final concert on Saturday, November 7, will feature country singer Carlton Anderson from 9:30 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Concert promotions also include discount codes offering $5 off eligible ticket purchases: CAMRYNMARIE for Thursday, TYLERTILLMAN for Friday and CARLTONANDERSON for Saturday.

For families and country music fans throughout northwest Houston, the concerts add another reason to visit the racetrack, whether they are longtime rodeo enthusiasts or simply looking for something different to do close to home.

Rodeo at the Racetrack Gala to Benefit Houston Veterans Through Camp Hope

The festivities begin Thursday, November 5, with the Rodeo at the Racetrack Gala, a Texas-style fundraising evening combining rodeo entertainment, barbecue dining and live music in support of Camp Hope.

The gala invites attendees to trade formal evening attire for cowboy boots and Western wear while enjoying an evening centered on supporting military veterans and their families.

Organizers are offering several ticket options to accommodate individuals, couples and groups.

General admission to the gala costs $15 and includes access to the event area and entertainment, with food and beverages available separately. A four-person table costs $199 and includes dinner for four, while a six-person table costs $299 and includes dinner for six. Beverages are available for purchase.

The event benefits Camp Hope, a Houston-based program operated by the PTSD Foundation of America that provides support to veterans experiencing combat-related post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

Camp Hope offers interim housing and a supportive environment where veterans can access recovery resources, peer support and opportunities to rebuild their lives following military service.

For many veterans, the transition from military service to civilian life can bring challenges that extend well beyond the battlefield. Programs such as Camp Hope work to address those challenges while providing a sense of community and connection among those who have shared similar experiences.

By incorporating the fundraiser into a major Houston entertainment event, Rodeo at the Racetrack offers residents an opportunity to support that mission while enjoying an evening with friends and family.

PRCA Rodeo Competition Takes Over Sam Houston Race Park November 6-7

The rodeo continues Friday, November 6, and Saturday, November 7, with professional rodeo competition at Sam Houston Race Park.

The event features PRCA rodeo action, bringing the excitement of professional Western sports to a venue more commonly associated with horse racing.

Founded in 1994, Sam Houston Race Park has long served as one of the Houston area's recognizable horse racing and entertainment destinations. Its expansive grandstands, indoor seating and hospitality areas provide a setting for large-scale events, concerts and special celebrations.

For Rodeo at the Racetrack, the venue will take on a different role as professional rodeo competition replaces its traditional racing atmosphere.

The combination of rodeo action and nighttime concerts gives attendees the opportunity to make an evening of the experience without traveling far from northwest Houston.

Tickets for the November 6-7 rodeo are available in several categories, with options ranging from affordable arena seating to premium hospitality experiences. To review ticket options, visit rodeoattheracetrack.com/events.

15th Annual Camp Hope BBQ Cook-Off Adds Another Way to Support Veterans

The same weekend will also bring the 15th Annual Camp Hope BBQ Cook-Off Fundraiser to Sam Houston Race Park, adding another community-focused event supporting veterans.

Organized through Grateful Americans Charity, the barbecue fundraiser will feature competitive cooking teams, live music, raffles and an auction.

The cook-off begins Friday, November 6, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. with a private event for sponsors and participating teams. Friday's activities include live entertainment, a raffle tent and optional VIP tent access featuring barbecue and an open bar.

On Saturday, November 7, the cook-off opens to the public from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., with barbecue competition, awards, raffles, a live auction and family-friendly entertainment. Barbecue will also be available.

Scheduled musical performers include Saenz of the Time, Not So Righteous Brothers and the Earl Sanders Jr. Band.

Organizers are also seeking barbecue cook-off teams and sponsors. Team registration costs $2,500 and includes space for a team and 25 guests. Sponsorship opportunities include support for veteran cook teams, entertainment and event hospitality.

Grateful Americans Charity is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and eligible donations may be tax-deductible. Donors should consult their tax advisers regarding deductibility.

Residents interested in registering a cook-off team, becoming a sponsor or learning more about the barbecue fundraiser can visit GACharity.org/CampHopeBBQ.

The barbecue cook-off and the Rodeo at the Racetrack festivities have separate event schedules and admission arrangements, so attendees should review the details for the activities they plan to attend.
