Remington Ranch Prepares for Bi-Annual Community Yard Sale in October

Remington Ranch Prepares for Bi-Annual Community Yard Sale in October

September 23 2025

One of the most anticipated community events of the season is just around the corner. On Saturday, October 18 from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., Remington Ranch and Remington Ranch Cottages will host their Bi-Annual Community Yard Sale, giving neighbors a chance to declutter, connect, and cash in—right from their driveways.

Residents are encouraged to participate by setting up items for sale in their own front yards. To let buyers know you’re part of the event, simply place a sign in your yard that morning. Just remember: signs are only allowed in front of your own home—any posted elsewhere will be removed. And as always, be courteous by keeping sidewalks clear and packing up everything by 2 p.m. sharp.

Whether you’re a seasoned seller or it’s your first time, here are a few helpful tips to make the most of your community yard sale experience:

Tips for Yard Sale Success

  • Start Early: Set up by 6:45 a.m.—early birds often find the best deals, and many shoppers will be out right at 7 a.m.

  • Advertise Beyond the Neighborhood: While community participation will bring foot traffic, spreading the word on websites like Facebook Marketplace, Nextdoor, Craigslist, and local buy/sell groups can attract even more buyers. Your friends at My Neighborhood News have created an event for the general public - click here for the link and share on social with the tap of a button!

  • Price Clearly & Fairly: Use stickers or labels to mark items with clear prices. Offering small bundles (like "3 for $1") can help move merchandise faster.

  • Organize by Category: Group items like books, toys, clothes, and tools together to make browsing easier.

  • Offer Bags or Boxes: Have plastic bags or small boxes on hand for shoppers who buy multiple items.

  • Be Prepared with Change: Have plenty of small bills and coins available. Many shoppers still prefer cash, but offering Venmo or Cash App as a backup is a plus.

The bi-annual yard sale is more than just a chance to sell gently used goods—it’s also a beloved neighborhood tradition that brings the Remington Ranch community together. If you’ve been meaning to clean out your garage or refresh your home, now’s the time.

Keep in mind: All sale items and signage must be removed by 2 p.m. to keep the neighborhood looking clean and safe.
