QuikTrip Planning New Jarrell Location Near Canyon Ranch
Jarrell could eventually have a new place for the morning coffee, an afternoon drink, a quick meal and, of course, a tank of gas.
QuikTrip is planning a store at 51 County Rd 306, Jarrell, TX 76537, according to state project information filed in September.
The planned store is not particularly small for a convenience stop. The project calls for about 6,445 square feet of space along with retail gasoline sales. Construction is currently scheduled to begin in May 2027 and continue into January 2028, so this one is still well over the horizon for Canyon Ranch residents.
QuikTrip, commonly shortened to QT, began in Tulsa, Oklahoma, in 1958. The company has since expanded to more than 1,250 stores across 23 states, turning the once-small grocery operation into a familiar name along highways and neighborhood commercial corridors.
Fuel may get drivers onto the property, but food has become a much bigger part of the modern QT experience. QuikTrip promotes coffee, fountain drinks, grab-and-go items and a growing selection of prepared foods, while QT Kitchens at many stores offer made-to-order choices. The company currently features everything from pizza and breakfast items to subs and other hot foods.
Whether every one of those offerings will make it to Jarrell is not yet known. The project filing establishes a convenience store and gasoline sales, but it does not detail the food operation planned for this particular location. Still, for residents heading to or from Canyon Ranch, the possibility of another place to combine fuel, drinks and something to eat in one stop will likely be part of the appeal.
The January 2028 construction completion date means there is a considerable wait ahead, and schedules can change before a project is finished. QuikTrip has not announced an opening date, store hours or the final lineup of services for the Jarrell location.
