Pumpkin Patches Near Spring, Conroe, The Woodlands, New Caney and Huffman in Fall 2026

North Houston
September 10 2026

North of Houston, pumpkin season can mean a ride through Christmas-tree fields, a race through a corn maze, a pumpkin floating in a swimming pool or a simple farm-stand stop on the way home. Those very different outings share the same appeal: they give families a seasonal marker and a reason to make memories close to home.

This regional guide includes both traditional patches and special events that feature a pumpkin experience. Confirmed 2026 dates are listed where organizers have published them; recurring patches still awaiting an announcement are clearly marked.

Old Time Christmas Tree Farm Pumpkin Patch — Spring

Old Time Christmas Tree Farm sits on land connected to the same family for more than a century. Damian and Leia Prause opened the Christmas-tree operation in 1996, continuing an agricultural story that has included dairy cattle, peanuts, cotton and hay. The pumpkin patch later began as a way to introduce fall visitors to the farm during the Christmas business’s off-season.

Families can browse pumpkins, ride the family-built Old Time Express, take a hayride, explore a one-acre corn maze, visit the petting zoo and enjoy children’s inflatables. No advance reservations are required; visitors pay at the gate, while attraction tickets are separate. Personal family photography is welcomed, and leashed pets are permitted. Check the farm for day-specific hours, prices and weather updates.

Atkinson Farm — Spring

Atkinson Farm is the low-key alternative to a ticketed fall festival. The fourth-generation family farm has traditionally sold pumpkins and gourds alongside seasonal produce and decorations, making it practical for families who want to shop, take a quick photograph and head home.

My Neighborhood News included the farm in its 2025 pumpkin-patch guide, but a verified 2026 pumpkin schedule was not available at review time. Check the farm’s current updates before visiting; harvest availability and hours can change.

P-6 Farms Fall Fest — Montgomery

P-6 Farms offers pumpkin-patch access, a corn maze, flower fields, pig races, a roller coaster, vintage rides, an animal barn, a giant slide and numerous photo settings. Pumpkins, picked flowers, food and some activities cost extra. Tickets are sold online only and may be used on one operating date during the 2026 season.

This is the region’s full-day destination for families who want the pumpkin patch to be one part of a larger farm adventure. Arrive early enough to catch scheduled pig races and leave time for the maze.

Old MacDonald’s Farm Pumpkin Patch — Humble

Old MacDonald’s Farm has long paired its October pumpkin patch with the farm’s animal encounters, train and pony rides. In the 2025 season, My Neighborhood News reported that each child received a pumpkin with paid admission.

The Humble location is a practical option for families coming from New Caney and Huffman, but the 2025 offer and dates should not be assumed for 2026. Confirm current admission, pumpkin terms and operating hours with the farm.

Grand Central Park Artisan Market — Conroe

The October Grand Central Park Artisan Market will add a pumpkin patch and children’s activities to its vendor market. A DJ, food trucks and pet adoptions round out the morning.

This is a one-day photo-and-community stop rather than a pick-your-own farm. Its compact hours and free admission make it easy to combine with lunch or another Conroe outing.

Floating Pumpkin Patch at VillaSport — The Woodlands

At VillaSport Athletic Club in The Woodlands, the Floating Pumpkin Patch gives children the opportunity to take to the pool and select a gourd, then decorate it for the trip home. The event also advertises music, games, treats, photo opportunities and goody bags.

Because this is an in-pool activity rather than a conventional field patch, review registration rules, swimming requirements and adult-supervision details with VillaSport before attending.

7 Acre Wood — Conroe

  • Dates: 2026 pumpkin-event dates not yet announced
  • Location: 4401 North Frazier Street, Conroe

7 Acre Wood is a family attraction with a petting zoo, mini golf, play areas and other activities, and it has hosted an annual fall festival with pumpkin-related fun. It appeared in prior Houston-area pumpkin recommendations, but the 2026 pumpkin-event schedule was not available at review time. It will be posted on social media soon.

Families should check the venue’s official calendar to determine whether a dedicated pumpkin patch or fall festival has been scheduled before presenting it to children as a pumpkin-picking trip.

Plan for Heat, Crowds and the Ride Home

Pick the first operating hour when possible. It is generally cooler, parking is easier and pumpkins have not been handled all day. For a farm, bring closed-toe shoes, sunscreen and water; for the floating patch, pack swim gear and confirm what the venue supplies.

Ask children to choose a pumpkin based on a story—best witch hat stem, best pie shape or most dramatic wobble. Take a photograph with the chosen pumpkin before it rolls around in the car, then write the date underneath when you get home. Always check the organizer’s site on the day of the outing for weather closures, sold-out sessions or schedule changes.
