PUCCI Café to Close at LaCenterra in Cinco Ranch on October 31 After Four Years in Katy

Katy / Fulshear
October 19 2026

Katy dog owners who have enjoyed coffee, cocktails and afternoons by the lake with their four-legged companions will soon have one less place to visit at LaCenterra at Cinco Ranch.

PUCCI Café & Pet Boutique will close its doors on Saturday, October 31, 2026, ending a four-year run at the popular Katy shopping and dining destination. Owners Maria and Bobby Davidson announced that they have decided not to renew their lease at 23501 Cinco Ranch Boulevard, Suite N200.

The news comes with a silver lining for customers who have come to love the boutique's specialty pet merchandise. PUCCI will continue operating online, with its inventory moving to a nearby fulfillment location in Katy.

In a message to customers, the Davidsons acknowledged that the decision was not an easy one.

“Unfortunately, we need to share some bittersweet news. After careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision not to renew our lease in LaCenterra at Cinco Ranch.”

The owners did not provide a specific reason for the decision beyond choosing not to renew the lease.

From an Online Pet Boutique to a One-of-a-Kind Katy Café

Long before PUCCI began serving espresso and dog treats at LaCenterra, it was an online business inspired by the Davidsons' love for their rescue dogs.

The couple launched the online boutique in 2019, selling specialty dog accessories and apparel. Their travels through Europe, where cafés routinely welcome customers and their dogs, eventually inspired them to bring a similar concept to Katy.

In September 2022, that idea became a reality when PUCCI Café opened at LaCenterra at Cinco Ranch.

Unlike traditional coffee shops that simply allow dogs on the patio, PUCCI was designed with pets in mind from the beginning.

The café offered espresso drinks, specialty coffees, teas, pastries, charcuterie boards, wine and beer. Dogs had their own bakery treats, while their owners could shop for designer collars, clothing, carriers, jewelry and specialty grooming products sourced from around the world.

The waterfront patio overlooking Cinco Ranch Lake was one of the café's main attractions. Spanning approximately 2,500 square feet, the outdoor space featured comfortable seating and a fenced-in Bark Park where dogs could play under staff supervision while their owners enjoyed the café or browsed the boutique.

For customers without pets, it was also a place to meet friends for coffee, enjoy a glass of wine or spend time overlooking the water.

Animal Rescue Was Part of PUCCI's Mission From the Beginning

The Davidsons' interest in animal welfare helped shape PUCCI's identity well before the LaCenterra location opened.

Their own rescued dogs, including Tori, Kandi and Trever, helped inspire the business. The couple has since welcomed another rescue dog, Bailey, into their family.

Alongside its retail and café offerings, PUCCI sought to raise awareness about homeless pets and support dog rescue organizations in the Katy and Greater Houston area.

When the café opened in 2022, the business announced that 5% of online and boutique merchandise sales would be donated to dog rescue organizations.

That cause remains important to the owners, who closed their announcement with the familiar reminder:

“Adopt, don’t shop!”

Owners Thank Katy Customers and Employees Ahead of Closure

In announcing the closing, Maria and Bobby expressed appreciation for the people who supported PUCCI over the years, including the customers who brought their dogs through its doors and the employees who helped operate the café.

“We are incredibly grateful to the Katy community for your support over the years and for everyone who has visited PUCCI Café. It has been such a pleasure being part of this community. We will always cherish the memories, special moments, and wonderful friendships we’ve made along the way.”

The owners also encouraged customers to stop by before October 31 to visit with the PUCCI team one last time.

“Their kindness, dedication, and warm smiles have made every visit special, and they’ll be greatly missed.”

The announcement did not indicate whether the café's employees would transition into roles with the online business.

PUCCI Gift Cards and Rewards Points Must Be Used Before October 31

Customers who have accumulated PUCCI Points or received gift cards should make plans to redeem them before the café closes.

The owners explained that the physical storefront and online boutique operate through separate systems, meaning PUCCI Points and gift cards issued for in-store use cannot be redeemed online.

Any remaining rewards or gift card balances must be used at the LaCenterra location by Saturday, October 31.

With the closing date approaching, customers who have been meaning to visit again may want to do so sooner rather than later.

What Happens to PUCCI After the LaCenterra Closing?

Although the physical café is closing, PUCCI's online boutique will remain in operation.

According to the Davidsons, the business will continue to be based in Katy, with boutique merchandise relocated to a nearby fulfillment facility. Customers will still be able to order pet accessories, apparel and other products through puccicafe.com, with purchases shipped directly to them.

The owners have not announced plans to open another café or retail storefront, and no replacement tenant for the LaCenterra space has been identified in the announcement.

For those hoping to make one final visit, PUCCI Café & Pet Boutique is located at 23501 Cinco Ranch Boulevard, Suite N200, Katy, TX 77494, and will remain open through October 31.

In their closing message, Maria and Bobby left customers with a personal note: “Thank you for sharing your love for your four-legged family members with us. We will never forget those experiences.”

The online boutique will continue, but the lakeside café, with its dog bakery, fenced-in play area and familiar faces, will soon be part of LaCenterra's history.
