Portillo's Bringing Chicago-Style Classics to Richmond
Big news for food lovers in Richmond! The highly popular and beloved food chain, Portillo's, will soon open its doors in our area. Known for their diverse menu featuring some mouth-watering classics like Chicago-style hot dogs, acclaimed Italian beef sandwiches, and char-grilled burgers, Portillo's is bringing all this and more to The Grand at Aliana, an open-air lifestyle center.
Founded in 1963, Portillo's started as a small hot dog stand in Villa Park, Illinois, known as "The Dog House." Since then, the brand has grown exponentially, maintaining its commitment to quality food and exceptional service. Now, it is making its much-awaited entry into Richmond.
"We're bun-believably excited to announce plans to enter the Houston market with a restaurant in Richmond," said a spokesperson from Portillo's. The new restaurant will be a spacious 7,700 square-foot establishment, featuring a Southwest garage theme and offering seating for about 170 guests indoors. There will also be a seasonal outdoor patio with seating for nearly 50 guests.

"It will also feature the brand’s signature double drive-thru lanes and Portillo’s Pick Up shelves to accommodate guests however and wherever they want to enjoy their Portillo’s," confirmed the press release.
And it's not just about the delectable food! Portillo's is also known for its desserts, particularly the famous Portillo’s Chocolate Cake. True to their promise of a complete meal experience, the brand is bringing all of these indulgent offerings to the Richmond location.
Whether you're a die-hard fan or a newbie eager to explore, Portillo's is ready to serve their highly-rated menu offerings at their brand new location. "Once we open, we hope you’ll cake shake in to enjoy our signature menu," invites the brand.
