Pavilion Palooza 2026 Brings $10 Family Fun, Live Music and Eight Interactive Festival Zones to The Woodlands November 7-8
Families looking for affordable things to do with kids in The Woodlands have a full weekend of entertainment coming their way. Pavilion Palooza 2026, presented by Texas Children's, will transform The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion into a two-day, music-filled festival on November 7 and 8, featuring eight themed activity zones, live performances, creative workshops and hands-on experiences designed for children of all ages.
With $10 admission and all performances and activities included, the festival offers families throughout The Woodlands, Spring, Conroe, Magnolia and surrounding Greater Houston communities an opportunity to spend time together without having to purchase separate tickets for every attraction.
This year's theme, Pavilion Palooza World Tour, invites children to explore music and traditions from around the globe, from African drumming and Japanese taiko performances to Bollywood dancing, island-inspired activities and kid-friendly concerts featuring familiar songs.
Eight Festival Zones Bring Music, Culture and Hands-On Fun to The Woodlands
Rather than centering the weekend around a single stage, Pavilion Palooza 2026 will spread activities throughout The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, allowing families to explore eight destinations at their own pace.
Each zone offers something different, giving toddlers, elementary-age children and older siblings plenty of opportunities to participate.
Main Stage: Live Concerts and Cultural Performances
Sponsored by Expand Energy, the Main Stage will host a rotating lineup of family-friendly concerts and performances throughout the weekend.
One of the featured attractions is The Rock and Roll Playhouse, known for introducing younger audiences to popular music through interactive concerts. Families can enjoy kid-friendly performances celebrating music associated with The Beatles, Bob Marley, Prince, Rihanna and Tom Petty, along with other scheduled acts.
The stage will also feature Japanese taiko drumming, African drumming, Bollywood dance, hula and folklórico performances.
Roots & Rhythms: American Music and Handmade Crafts
Families can explore American roots music through bluegrass, zydeco, banjo performances and line dancing at the Front Porch Stage.
Children can participate in a community patchwork quilt project, create paper plate banjos and make bandana-inspired crafts while learning about musical traditions.
Palooza Playland: Activities Designed for Toddlers
Sponsored by RapidCare ER, Palooza Playland offers younger festivalgoers a space designed specifically for their age group.
Activities include toddler inflatables, Kid Active soft play, bubble-catching activities, a music wall and a miniature instrument petting zoo.
A changing and nursing station will also be available, providing a convenient resource for parents attending with babies and toddlers.
Harmony Gardens: Outdoor Play and Relaxation
Sponsored by Aloha, Harmony Gardens combines movement, creativity and quieter activities.
Children can enjoy ribbon kites, parachute races, Texas Bubblers and an origami exchange. India-inspired lounge areas and photo opportunities will provide additional places for families to spend time together between activities.
Island Sounds: Tropical Music and Movement
Sponsored by Hiland Dairy, Island Sounds introduces children to island-inspired musical traditions through ukuleles, bamboo panpipes and family singalongs.
The area will also feature lei-making, hula hoops and limbo challenges, giving children opportunities to participate rather than simply watch.
Rhythm Village: Where Music Meets Science
Sponsored by Ovintiv, Rhythm Village combines music, technology and hands-on discovery.
Activities include African drum circles, dancing and the Instrument Petting Zoo powered by Ovintiv.
Children can also explore interactive experiences involving Woodlands Robotics, The Cosmobots, Janet's Planet, Little Beakers and 1st Gen Scholars.
Creative activities such as bead bracelet making and Creative Canvas chalk art will round out the experience.
Plaza de la Música: Community Performances and Cultural Crafts
Plaza de la Música will feature mariachi music, community performances and character meet-and-greets.
Children can also create maracas, carnival masks and papel picado, introducing them to traditional decorative crafts while enjoying music and entertainment.
Melody Motorway: A Hands-On Vehicle Experience
Sponsored by Sewell, Melody Motorway offers something for children who love cars, trucks and other vehicles.
Families can explore and photograph a variety of vehicles along a European-style street setting, accompanied by accordion music and travel-themed photo opportunities.

More Than a Concert: Introducing Children to Music and Cultures Around the World
For parents searching for educational family activities in The Woodlands, Pavilion Palooza offers an experience that goes beyond traditional festival entertainment.
Children can hear instruments they may never have encountered, watch performers demonstrate cultural dance traditions and explore how music connects with science, technology and creative expression.
The festival's interactive format also allows children to experience these activities firsthand. A child interested in drumming can participate in a drum circle, while another who enjoys building and experimenting can spend time with robotics and science activities.
For families with children of different ages, the variety of experiences makes it possible to find activities suited to individual interests without leaving the festival grounds.
The event also reflects the broader educational and performing arts mission of The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, a nonprofit outdoor amphitheater in The Woodlands that hosts concerts, performing arts events and community programs. In addition to welcoming nationally touring performers, the venue supports arts education and opportunities for young people to experience live music and the performing arts.

A Weekend of Affordable Family Entertainment in The Woodlands
With school schedules, extracurricular activities and the approaching holiday season keeping families busy, Pavilion Palooza offers a local option for spending a weekend together.
The festival's combination of live music, cultural performances, science activities and creative play gives families a chance to try several different experiences in one location, with the $10 admission price covering the festival programming.
For residents of The Woodlands and nearby communities, it is also an opportunity to introduce children to a familiar local landmark in a different setting. Rather than attending a traditional evening concert, families can explore the Pavilion throughout the day, discover new interests and enjoy performances geared toward younger audiences.
