Blue Bell’s Lone Star Scoop Tour Brings Free Ice Cream, Giveaways to Northwest Houston This June
For many Texans, Blue Bell is more than just an ice cream brand — it is a familiar part of family gatherings, summer traditions, Little League celebrations, and neighborhood memories. This June, the Brenham-based creamery is bringing that hometown connection directly into local communities through its 2026 Lone Star Scoop Tour, including two stops in Northwest Houston on Monday, June 1.
The traveling event features Blue Bell’s branded truck and trailer handing out free hand-dipped ice cream, frozen snacks, and giveaways at Kroger locations across Texas. Company officials say the tour is designed as a thank-you to the generations of Texans who have supported Blue Bell for more than 100 years.
Residents in the Northwest Houston area will have two opportunities to stop by and enjoy complimentary treats:

Blue Bell noted that event dates and times may shift due to weather or unforeseen circumstances, and attendees are encouraged to check for updates closer to the event date.
Blue Bell Continues Expanding Across Texas and Beyond
The Lone Star Scoop Tour comes during a particularly active year for Blue Bell Creameries, which has spent much of early 2026 expanding its product lineup and growing into new markets.
Most recently, the company introduced Brookie À La Mode Ice Cream, a limited-time flavor featuring brown sugar ice cream mixed with brownie chunks and chocolate chip cookie pieces. Blue Bell also released Honey Vanilla Ice Cream, a pint-sized limited edition flavor combining classic vanilla with honey sweetness.
In addition to indulgent dessert offerings, the Texas ice cream maker recently entered the growing high-protein dessert category with the launch of Blue Bell PRO. The new dairy dessert line includes Chocolate, Coffee, Salted Caramel, Strawberry, and Vanilla varieties, with up to 35 grams of protein per pint, no added sugar, and reduced calories.
The company’s growth is also extending well beyond Texas. Earlier this year, Blue Bell officially expanded distribution into Cincinnati, Dayton, and surrounding Ohio communities through a new distribution center in Lebanon, Ohio. The expansion includes retail availability, community sampling events, and local hiring initiatives as the brand continues building a larger national footprint.
