7 Brew Coffee Plans New Drive-Thru on Sawdust Drive in Spring

North Houston  /  North Houston
July 22 2026

Residents traveling along Sawdust Drive could gain another option for coffee, energy drinks and quick refreshments, with construction records indicating that a new 7 Brew Coffee is planned near the Spring-The Woodlands corridor.

A recently filed permit lists a drive-thru-only 7 Brew Coffee at 501 Sawdust Drive in Spring. The estimated $1.5 million project calls for construction of a 510-square-foot prefabricated building designed entirely around vehicle service.

Construction is currently expected to begin Oct. 1, 2026, and reach completion by Jan. 1, 2027. Those dates are planning estimates rather than a confirmed opening schedule, and 7 Brew had not announced an official grand-opening date for the Sawdust Drive location as of publication.

What the New 7 Brew Could Mean for the Sawdust Drive Area

The Sawdust Drive stand would be 7 Brew’s second location with a Spring address, joining the existing shop at 21410 Kuykendahl Road, Spring, TX 77379. Located about 10 miles away, the Kuykendahl Road stand serves communities west of Interstate 45, while the planned Sawdust Drive location would give residents closer to The Woodlands, Oak Ridge North and the I-45 corridor another nearby option.

Unlike a traditional coffeehouse with indoor seating, the compact development would focus on customers who want to order without leaving their vehicles. That format may be particularly familiar to residents looking for a quick stop before work, school activities, errands or a drive along Interstate 45.

The small size of the planned building is also consistent with 7 Brew’s broader operating model. Its stands use drive-thru lanes and outdoor order-taking to move customers through quickly while employees prepare customized drinks. The company describes its approach as combining speed with friendly, personal service.

From Seven Arkansas Stands to a National Coffee Brand

7 Brew was founded in Northwest Arkansas in 2017. By 2020, the company had grown to seven stands and was acquired by an entrepreneurial group operating as Brew Culture LLC. The company has since expanded from its regional roots into a nationwide drive-thru business with hundreds of locations across the United States.

The “7” in the company’s name remains reflected in its original beverage lineup. The brand promotes seven signature drinks known as the “7 Originals,” including flavored coffee combinations that can be adjusted to a customer’s preferred sweetness, milk, temperature and preparation style.

That emphasis on customization has become one of 7 Brew’s most recognizable features. Its current menu offers more than 20,000 possible drink combinations across coffee, 7 Energy beverages, flavored sodas, teas, chai, matcha, lemonades, smoothies and shakes. Drinks can generally be served hot, iced or blended, depending on the selection.

For customers who do not drink coffee, the broader menu gives the business a different reach than a conventional espresso stand. A family making one stop could order a latte or breve alongside a smoothie, lemonade, shake or caffeine-free flavored soda.

Speed, Customization and Conversation at the Window

While drive-thru convenience is central to the business, 7 Brew also markets itself around upbeat interactions between customers and its employees, known as “Brewistas.”

The company’s stated mission is to “Cultivate Kindness,” with staff members often taking orders outside rather than relying solely on a speaker box. That model is intended to make a short transaction feel more personal without slowing the line.

The proposed Spring coffee stand would bring that model to a part of Montgomery County where residents already have a wide range of national and independent coffee options. Its arrival would also reflect the continuing growth of smaller, drive-thru-focused beverage concepts competing for customers who value convenience, variety and highly personalized orders.

What Happens Next

According to the project filing, the Sawdust Drive development will be privately funded and constructed on private property. The listed scope covers a new prefabricated, drive-thru-only building totaling 510 square feet.

The January 2027 completion estimate does not necessarily represent the day the business will open. Construction schedules can change, and a location generally must complete hiring, equipment installation, inspections and other operational preparations before serving customers.

Still, the filing provides an early look at what may be coming to the Sawdust Drive commercial corridor. Should the project proceed as planned, Spring and The Woodlands-area residents could see the new 7 Brew Coffee stand take shape during the final months of 2026.
