Niko Niko's Coming to The Woodlands

January 22 2024

The Woodlands will soon be home to another Niko Niko's Greek restaurant. Set to open its doors in April 2024, this will be the first time the family-owned establishment has branched outside of Houston, bringing its delectable offerings to a new  - and enthusiastic - audience. The chosen site for this culinary expansion is the former Luby’s at 922 Lake Front Circle in The Woodlands, as announced on the restaurant's Facebook page.

The Niko Niko's story began in 1977 when Eleni Fetokakis established the restaurant, a venture now managed by her son, Dimitri. Dimitri, who has taken the reins of the business, is enthusiastic about the upcoming expansion.

To connect with more customers during the COVID-19 pandemic, Niko Niko’s began a series of pop-up catering events across the Greater Houston Area in October 2020. The Woodlands community showed an overwhelming response, playing a role in the decision to open a new branch in the area.

The new establishment is a clear reflection of the community's love for the rich, tasty, and authentic Greek food that Niko Niko's offers. The restaurant, with its other locations in Montrose and Memorial/Spring Branch, sees this expansion as an opportunity to bring its traditional Greek dishes closer to the people of The Woodlands.

A beloved local treasure for many years in Houston, Niko Niko's is poised to become a favorite in The Woodlands' culinary scene.
