A new location for a beloved, local boutique is getting ready to open its doors in Katy, and Monica Marie Boutique is turning the occasion into a celebration.

The women’s clothing and lifestyle boutique will hold its grand opening at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 16, at The Gathering Grounds, located at 1512 Avenue C, Building C, in Katy. Shoppers will be able to browse the new storefront, check out fresh arrivals and take part in giveaways planned throughout the day.

For owner Monica Hughes-Hamill, the opening marks a milestone she has spent a long time working toward.

“After so much dreaming, praying, planning, building (and a whole lot of pink)… Monica Marie Boutique is officially opening our doors!” she shared in announcing the event.

What to Expect at the Monica Marie Boutique Grand Opening

The Oct. 16 grand opening is designed to give customers a chance to experience the new store while celebrating alongside the Monica Marie team.

The first 20 customers who spend at least $125 will receive grand opening swag bags. Monica Marie Boutique T-shirts will also be given away throughout the day, along with additional surprises and giveaways.

Shoppers can also expect plenty of new merchandise on the racks for opening day.

The boutique carries dresses, tops, rompers, coordinated sets, bottoms and denim, along with shoes, jewelry, gifts, stationery, beauty and hair accessories. Monica Marie also carries devotionals and prayer cards, reflecting the faith-centered approach that is part of the brand’s identity.

A Boutique Built Around Everyday Style

Monica Marie Boutique was created with the idea that getting dressed should feel approachable, personal and fun.

Hughes-Hamill says she chooses pieces with real-life routines in mind, from school drop-off and Sunday service to date nights and girls’ trips. The boutique’s overall look leans feminine and polished while still aiming to be comfortable enough for everyday wear.

“Fashion has always been something I’ve loved — not just for the clothes themselves, but for the confidence and joy the right outfit can bring,” Hughes-Hamill said. “There’s something powerful about helping a woman feel beautiful and comfortable in her own skin, and I feel honored to play a small part in that through this boutique.”

That mix of fashion, faith and personal connection is something Hughes-Hamill has made central to the business.

“This boutique is so much more than a business to me — it’s a calling, a ministry, and a dream that God placed on my heart,” she said.

Monica Marie Expands Its Katy-Area Presence

The new Gathering Grounds storefront gives Monica Marie Boutique another place to welcome shoppers in person.

The business also has a location inside The Collective Boutique at 6729 S. Fry Road, Suite D6, in Katy, in the former Painted Tree location.

With two Katy-area shopping options, the boutique is continuing to expand its physical presence while giving customers more opportunities to see merchandise in person rather than only online or through special shopping events.

For local shoppers, the opening adds another independently owned retail option to the Katy shopping scene, particularly for those looking for women’s clothing, accessories, gifts and faith-inspired items.

Hughes-Hamill has described the opening as the beginning of a new chapter for the boutique and said she is looking forward to finally welcoming customers inside.

“We cannot WAIT to welcome you into our brand-new home and celebrate this sweet new chapter with you!” she said.
