Memorial Hermann Fulshear Sports Medicine & Rehabilitation Clinic Coming to Skyline Drive in 2026

February 19 2026

Residents in Fulshear and surrounding Fort Bend County communities will soon have expanded access to physical therapy and sports medicine services without leaving town.

A new Memorial Hermann Fulshear Sports Medicine & Rehabilitation clinic is scheduled to open at 6519 Skyline Drive, Fulshear, TX 77441, at the southern end of Cross Creek Ranch. The $950,000 renovation project will transform 6,329 square feet of existing shell space into a B-Occupancy outpatient clinic focused on sports medicine, physical therapy, and rehabilitation services.

Construction is expected to begin March 4, 2026, with completion projected for October 14, 2026, according to state filings. The project is privately funded and located on private land for private use.

For a growing city like Fulshear — where new neighborhoods, schools and small businesses continue to take shape — the addition represents another piece of the area’s expanding healthcare footprint.

Why This Matters for Fulshear Families and Athletes

As Fulshear continues to attract families, student-athletes, and active adults, access to local healthcare services becomes increasingly important. Physical therapy and rehabilitation services often require multiple visits per week. Having those services within the community can reduce commute times to Katy, Sugar Land, or Houston and make consistent care more manageable.

Memorial Hermann Sports Medicine & Rehabilitation clinics offer direct access to physical therapy, meaning patients can seek evaluation and treatment from a licensed physical therapist without first obtaining a physician referral.

What Services Will Be Offered?

The Fulshear clinic will provide physical and occupational therapy services, with a focus on sports medicine and rehabilitation.

Physical Therapy

Physical therapy is designed to:

  • Reduce or eliminate pain
  • Improve mobility and motion
  • Restore functional abilities without medication or surgery in many cases
  • Strengthen muscles and improve balance
  • Support injury recovery and prevention

Treatment typically begins with a comprehensive evaluation, followed by a personalized plan of care that combines in-clinic sessions and at-home exercises.

Conditions Commonly Treated

Memorial Hermann Sports Medicine & Rehabilitation clinics treat a wide range of orthopedic, neurological, and musculoskeletal conditions, including:

Arthritis, back pain, sports injuries, fractures, joint pain, stroke recovery, Parkinson’s disease, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury (TBI), vertigo, balance disorders, pelvic pain, lymphedema, COPD, osteoporosis, post-COVID-19 deconditioning and more.

For high school athletes in Fulshear, weekend warriors, seniors working to prevent falls, and residents recovering from surgery, these services can play a role in restoring independence and mobility.

Specialized Rehabilitation Services

Memorial Hermann clinics also provide specialty therapies such as:

  • Occupational therapy
  • Hand therapy
  • Balance and vestibular rehabilitation
  • Neurological rehabilitation
  • Pelvic floor therapy
  • Spine physical therapy
  • Dry needling
  • Graston Technique / IASTM
  • McKenzie Method physical therapy
  • Lymphedema management
  • Prenatal therapy
  • Speech therapy

The broader Memorial Hermann system includes collaboration with the Memorial Hermann | Rockets Sports Medicine Institute, which operates facilities across the Greater Houston area, including Katy, Cypress, Sugar Land and The Woodlands. Those locations offer advanced performance testing and sports medicine resources for athletes of all ages.

Additionally, TIRR Memorial Hermann, a nationally recognized rehabilitation hospital, is part of the Memorial Hermann Rehabilitation Network, providing inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services for children and adults recovering from neurological illness or trauma.

Supporting Fulshear’s Growth

Fulshear’s rapid residential expansion has increased demand for accessible healthcare options within city limits. As new schools open and youth sports programs expand, sports-related injuries and rehabilitation needs naturally follow.

For homeowners, proximity to healthcare services can also be a factor in long-term community planning and quality-of-life considerations. Convenient access to outpatient rehabilitation may support aging-in-place for seniors and active lifestyles for families.

The Memorial Hermann Fulshear Sports Medicine & Rehabilitation build-out represents one more step in aligning healthcare infrastructure with Fulshear’s population growth.

What Happens Next?

Construction is expected to continue through mid-October 2026. Additional details regarding staffing, appointment scheduling and grand opening announcements are likely to be shared closer to completion.

As Fulshear continues to evolve, healthcare access remains part of the broader conversation about sustainable growth, family support, and long-term community investment.
