Meet Babe: A Loving Shepherd at Houston SPCA Looking for Her Forever Home

February 14 2025

This Valentine’s Day, a sweet and affectionate three-year-old Shepherd mix named Babe is hoping to find a family to call her own. Weighing 43 pounds, Babe is known for her gentle nature and love of attention, making her an ideal companion for anyone looking to welcome a loyal and loving dog into their home.

"Spending quality time with you is my idea of a perfect day," Babe’s adoption listing reads. "I am a huge fan of attention, and pets on the head? Yes, please!"

Babe is currently available for adoption at the Houston SPCA, and today—Valentine’s Day—her adoption package is only $14 as part of a special promotion for large dogs weighing over 35 pounds. The adoption package includes spay surgery, a microchip, updated vaccinations, and a free bag of Hill’s Pet Nutrition. After Valentine's Day, Babe’s adoption fee will return to $55, which still includes all of these services.
