Local Fire Department Visits West Memorial Elementary
On December 4, students at West Memorial Elementary welcomed local firefighters for an enriching scientific experiment about the force of gravity.
In the experiment, the students were tasked with packaging an egg in any container they chose. Firefighters then dropped the container from a height of 30 feet to test the egg's resilience against the force of gravity. Harris County ESD 48 Fire Department, your local fire and EMS service provider, was scheduled for this event but due to unforeseen circumstances, it was nearly cancelled all together.
Due to weather conditions last week and a mechanical failure in Harris County ESD 48 Fire Department's Tower 4 over the weekend, the team at Willowfork Fire Department generously offered their support during the morning of December 4. Thanks to Willowfork's assistance, your local fire department was able to follow through on their promises to the second grade class at West Memorial Elementary.
