Lin’s Grand Buffet Expands in Houston with Second Location on Highway 6
One of the largest all-you-can-eat buffets in the United States is about to get even closer to home for Houston foodies. Lin’s Grand Buffet has announced the grand opening of its second Houston location, set to welcome guests on Friday, January 9, 2026, at 5402 Highway 6—nestled between Clay Road and West Little York Road in northwest Houston.
This new Lin’s Grand Buffet location will officially open its doors following a 10:55 a.m. ribbon-cutting ceremony, with regular dining service beginning at 11 a.m. Guests are also invited back in the evening for a special Lion Dance performance at 7 p.m.—a traditional and vibrant celebration marking a joyful beginning for this Houston buffet favorite.
A Bigger Buffet with Bold Flavors
Founded in 2002, Lin’s Grand Buffet has grown into one of the nation’s largest Asian buffets, now operating 16 locations across Texas, Arizona, and California. The brand is known for offering a generous and high-quality selection of Chinese, Japanese, American, and Cajun seafood dishes in a spacious, family-friendly atmosphere. Houston’s new location is no exception.
Occupying 9,000 square feet and accommodating up to 274 guests, the new Lin’s Grand Buffet on Highway 6 is designed with both comfort and culinary adventure in mind. Diners will enjoy everything from a vibrant sushi bar and Mongolian grill to live cooking stations serving fresh steak, salt and pepper shrimp, bourbon chicken, and a Cajun-style seafood boil. Traditional favorites like orange chicken, beef and broccoli, and sesame chicken also round out their offerings.

Whether you’re stopping in for a quick lunch or organizing a large family gathering, the layout is tailored for group dining and special occasions. The new location also supports takeout and delivery options to suit a variety of lifestyles and dining preferences.
A Welcoming Space for Families and Friends
This expansion comes less than two years after Lin’s first Houston location opened in March 2023. The addition of a second location reflects the brand’s deepening roots in Houston and a broader commitment to serving the city’s diverse communities.
“Houston is a dynamic city that truly embraces culinary variety, making it the ideal setting for a new location,” said Eric Chen, local partner of Lin’s Grand Buffet. “Being part of this community means more than just serving great food. It’s about creating a welcoming space where families and friends can come together and celebrate the flavors that make this city unique.”
With a growing fan base in Texas cities like McAllen, Weslaco, El Paso, and Laredo, Lin’s is also setting its sights beyond state lines. Plans are underway to open a new location in Tucson, Arizona in early 2026, continuing the buffet’s expansion throughout the Southwest.
“We look forward to opening our doors later this year and welcoming more Houstonians to experience the Lin’s Grand Buffet difference,” added Chen.
