Langham Creek Bailadoras Invite K-5 Students to Shine at 2025 Bailadora Buddy Game

August 26 2025

Local elementary students are getting the opportunity to dance under the Friday night lights thanks to the Langham Creek High School Bailadoras, who are once again hosting their beloved Bailadora Buddy Game on Friday, October 17, 2025. This community-favorite event allows children in grades K through 5 to join the Bailadoras on the field at the Berry Center, offering a one-of-a-kind glimpse into the world of this elite drill team.

The Buddy Game is a cherished tradition within the Cypress-Fairbanks ISD community, where young participants are paired with a Bailadora for a night of memories, mentorship, and spirit. Each "buddy" will take part in pre-game fun, pictures with their assigned dancer, and even perform on the field during the Lobo Line. Throughout the first half of the game, participants will cheer from the stands alongside the Bailadoras and enjoy a provided halftime snack before being picked up at intermission.

Registration for the 2025 Buddy Game is open now through October 13, with a participation fee of $45 per child. All registered buddies will receive a souvenir to commemorate the experience. Full registration details, including payment information, attire guidelines, and the link to sign up, are available here.

A Tradition Rooted in Excellence

Founded in 1984 with 27 charter members, the Langham Creek Bailadoras have become one of the most respected and accomplished drill teams in the Cy-Fair area. The team performs at every football game, school pep rally, and competes in a rigorous contest season from December to March. Their annual Spring Show and summer dance camps round out a packed schedule that demands discipline, resilience, and creativity.

From the very beginning, the Bailadoras have been more than just performers—they're leaders. Team members commit to early mornings, long practices, academic responsibility, and unwavering teamwork. It's a commitment that pays off: many Bailadoras speak highly of the life skills, confidence, and lifelong friendships they gain through the program.

A Night to Remember

This fall, the Bailadora Buddy Game isn’t just about fun—it’s about legacy. It's a night that gives younger students a look into what it means to be part of something greater: a team with heart, history, and high standards.

Under the direction of Ms. Katherine McMullin, who took the reins in 2024, the Bailadoras are now celebrating over 40 years of excellence. McMullin carries forward a tradition shaped by past directors like Robin Cerny, Cathy Raffield, Mitzi Phillips, Barbie Parker, Hannah Gassett, and Brynae Love-Young—each of whom helped the program grow in size, talent, and community impact.

Whether your child dreams of becoming a future Bailadora or simply wants to experience a magical Friday night alongside the Lobo Nation, this event is open to all who want to be part of the fun.
