Lamar CISD Invites Locals to Participate in Men Who Cook: LEAF's Tastiest Event
The Lamar Educational Awards Foundation (LEAF) invites community members to grab a chef’s hat to compete in the tastiest event in Fort Bend County, Men Who Cook 2024. Signature events like Men Who Cook help further the mission of providing enrichment opportunities for all students in Lamar CISD. As a result of your generosity, LEAF has awarded almost $5 million to date.
Men Who Cook features local males who prepare an appetizer, side dish, entrée or dessert and offer bite-size samples to more than 800 guests in a friendly and spirited competition. Attendees serve as competition judges and prizes are awarded for the dish with the highest votes.
This year’s gala will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2024 from 6:30 PM to 11:30 PM at Texas Safari Ranch, located at 11627 FM 1464, Richmond, TX 77407. There is no registration fee to participate as a Celebrity Chef; however, chefs are responsible for providing their own food ingredients. Interested individuals are welcome to register here as a chef for this highly anticipated event.
A vital part of the Men Who Cook fundraiser is securing quality items for the auction. LEAF welcomes themed gift baskets (family night out, date nights, sporting, cooking, spa, etc.), sports memorabilia, vacation timeshares, sports tickets, hunting fishing packages, gift certificates and cards, technology gadgets, and memorable experience items.
If would like to donate an item for this event, please complete the auction commitment form before January 19, 2024. Donations can be mailed or dropped off at the Brazos Crossing Building, 3911 Avenue I, Rosenberg, Texas 77471. If mailing, please address your packet to LEAF. If dropping off, please drop off during the week of January 29 through February 2, 2024 with your donation submission form attached. Please utilize this packing slip with your item(s).
