If you’re planning to head to the pool this Saturday morning in Lakes on Eldridge, you’ll want to take note of a temporary change—and maybe even stick around for something special. The LOE Dolphins swim team will be hosting a swim meet on Saturday, May 2 from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and the pool will be closed for regular use during that time.

While that may shift a few weekend plans, it’s also one of those moments that really brings the neighborhood together. Swim meets are a big part of the Lakes on Eldridge community, with early mornings, team tents, and families gathering to support young swimmers who have been practicing all season. For many residents, it’s part of what makes living here feel connected and active.

Homeowners are more than welcome to stop by and cheer on the Dolphins throughout the morning. Even if you don’t have a swimmer in the race, showing up to support the team helps build that sense of community that carries well beyond the pool deck. It’s also a great way for newer residents to get a feel for the neighborhood and meet others.

The pool is expected to reopen after 2:00 p.m., so afternoon swimmers can plan accordingly. Until then, it’s a chance to slow down, grab a coffee, and maybe spend a little time rooting for the home team.
