La Monarca Michoacana Brings Authentic Mexican Flavors to Katy with New Ice Cream Shop Location
As the heat of summer settles in, Katy welcomes an exciting new addition to its local food scene - the opening of La Monarca Michoacana located at 372 S. Mason Road. A family-run business originating from 2008, the ice cream shop offers homemade desserts inspired by traditional recipes from Michoacan, Mexico.
La Monarca is not your average ice cream shop. Rooted in tradition and authenticity, they are known for their homemade ice cream, popsicles, and mangonadas – all made with natural ingredients without any preservatives. Ice cream and popsicle enthusiasts will have plenty of options to choose from with an array of flavors, covering classics like vanilla and cookies n' cream, to the more adventurous such as Ferrero Rocher and avocado!
Additionally, La Monarca also offers a variety of other treats including corn, nachos, and smoothies. Check out there full menu here.
Named after the monarch butterflies that migrate from Canada to Michoacan, Mexico every year, La Monarca exemplifies a journey of success. What started as a humble shop at their original South Richey location has now flourished into a beloved local brand with 12 locations in the Houston area, and branches in Pearland, La Porte, and Pasadena.
As the newest location opens in Katy, residents can now indulge in La Monarca's delectable offerings, discovering or rediscovering the distinctive flavors of Michoacan.
