Katy Wine Fest Returns October 3rd to Celebrate 20 Years of Sipping, Supporting, and Serving the Community
What began as a humble, six-table wine tasting in 2006 has grown into one of Katy’s most celebrated annual traditions. On Friday, October 3, the 20th Annual Katy Wine Fest will toast two decades of community support and charitable giving at Palacio Maria Banquet Hall in Katy, uniting food and wine lovers for an evening that gives back in a big way.
Hosted by the Rotary Club of Brazos River, the 2025 Katy Wine Fest will feature award-winning Mediterranean and Texas wines, local craft beer and spirits, light bites from favorite Katy and West Houston restaurants, live music by Lonesome Gypsy, and the always-popular wine pull and bucket raffle.
“We encourage everyone to come out and join the Brazos River Rotary for the original Katy Wine Fest on Friday, October 3!” said Patrick Powers, President of Brazos River Rotary. “With plenty to eat and drink, plus live music from Lonesome Gypsy and a fun wine pull and bucket raffle, it’s a great way to spend a Friday night in Katy!”

Funds raised from the Katy Wine Fest have already contributed $260,000 to Brookwood’s Center for Learning, enabling individuals and organizations from around the world to learn and replicate the Brookwood model of serving adults with disabilities.
“Since the launch of the Brookwood Center for Learning in 2013, funds from the Katy Wine Fest contributed $260,000 in scholarship assistance, mentorship, and vital operational support,” said Jana Mullins, Director of Outreach and Community Engagement at The Brookwood Community. “These generous investments have opened doors for individuals from across the globe to attend conferences and access critical resources that extend Brookwood’s mission far beyond Texas.”
Brookwood’s reach now spans 38 states and 18 countries, helping more than 375,000 individuals with disabilities through its educational and service-oriented programs.
“What started as a small, 6-table wine event in 2006 has grown into something we are very proud of,” said Bari Saunders, Chair of the Katy Wine Fest. “With support from the community and our event sponsors, we are honored to be able to provide much-needed funding to support The Brookwood Community’s Center for Learning as well as other worthy Katy-area nonprofit organizations.”
