Fort Bend County Libraries Book Sales Bring Bargain Books, Movies and More This September
For readers who enjoy hunting for a good book — and an even better deal — September will bring several opportunities across Fort Bend County.
Fort Bend County Libraries' Friends of the Library groups at the Cinco Ranch Branch Library, Albert George Branch Library and University Branch Library are preparing three upcoming book sales featuring everything from new releases and children's books to DVDs, CDs, puzzles, graphic novels and specialized collections.

The Friends of Cinco Ranch Branch Library Sale will be held Saturday, Sept. 12, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the library's Meeting Room.
Shoppers can browse a broad selection of books, DVDs and CDs, including new releases, fiction, nonfiction, classics and children's books. Items will be offered at bargain prices, making the sale an option for families stocking home bookshelves, teachers building classroom collections or neighbors looking for children's and adult titles to refresh a Little Free Library.
Proceeds from the Cinco Ranch sale will support youth and adult programming at the branch.

Albert George Branch Library Sale Runs Sept. 18-19
The Albert George Branch Library Friends of the Library Book Sale will take place over two days in Needville.
The sale will be open Friday, Sept. 18, from noon to 4 p.m. and Saturday, Sept. 19, from 9 a.m. to noon in the library's Meeting Room.
Visitors will find adult and children's books along with magazines, puzzles, movies and music at reasonable prices. Only cash will be accepted.
Proceeds will benefit the library and its community programming.

University Branch Library Big Book Sale Adds New Categories
The University Branch Library Friends of the Library Big Book Sale will return Saturday, Sept. 26, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Meeting Room 1.
This year's sale includes several specialty categories that may appeal to collectors, students, educators and readers searching for something outside the usual fiction and nonfiction shelves.
Among the offerings will be books on theater arts, including stage direction, lighting, costuming, voice for actors and Shakespearean reference materials. The sale will also feature genealogy how-to resources, graphic novels and elementary school workbooks.
Shoppers can also browse fiction, nonfiction, Chinese-language books, children's books, puzzles and other selections. That range can be useful for anyone hoping to create a Little Free Library with something for different ages and interests rather than filling it with only one type of book.
Most items will be priced from 50 cents to $2, with some special items priced slightly higher. The sale is cash only, and purchases cannot be made using bills larger than $20.
