Jordan High School Celebrates 8 Student-Athletes Signing on Katy ISD National Signing Day

February 19 2026

Years of early mornings, long practices and steady academic focus turned into lifelong opportunity this week as nine Jordan High School student-athletes signed National Letters of Intent during Katy ISD’s National Signing Day celebration.

For families in Cross Creek Ranch, Westheimer Lakes, and the greater Katy area, National Signing Day represents more than a ceremony. It reflects the strength of Katy ISD athletics, the discipline of student-athletes balancing academics and competition, and the community support that makes these milestones possible.

“This is what commitment looks like,” Katy ISD Executive Director of Athletics Lance Carter said. “These student-athletes have put in the early mornings, the extra reps and the classroom work. Signing Day is more than a ceremony — it is the reward for years of discipline and the beginning of an exciting new chapter.”

A Growing Program, A Growing Legacy

As one of Katy ISD’s newer high schools, Jordan continues building its athletic tradition. For families in Fulshear, Katy and surrounding communities, moments like Signing Day reflect how quickly the campus is establishing competitive depth across multiple sports.

National Signing Day highlights Katy ISD’s broader commitment to preparing student-athletes not only for collegiate competition, but for academic success and leadership beyond high school.
