Join the Cy-Fair Women’s Club: A Legacy of Service and Community Impact

August 01 2024

The Cy-Fair Women’s Club (CWC), established in 1982, continues to be a vital force for charitable service and community support in the Cy-Fair area. As a 501(c)(3) organization, CWC is dedicated to fostering the needs of the community through various outreach programs, volunteer efforts, and fundraising activities, and ladies of all ages across the region are cordially invited to join their cause.

In addition to fundraising through their highly-anticipated Shop 'til You Drop event at the Berry Center each year, the CWC is actively involved in many volunteer capacities across the community all year round.

What They Do

At the heart of the Cy-Fair Women’s Club is a commitment to community service. The club not only organizes monthly service projects but also supports and sponsors several ongoing programs that have become integral to their mission.

Monthly Service Projects
The Service Project Committee actively submits and reviews project ideas, creating a monthly list of initiatives for members to consider. These projects are diverse, with members contributing their time and donations to various causes throughout the year..

Ongoing Programs

  1. Project Mac & Cheese: This initiative aims to stock the Cy-Fair Helping Hands Pantry with a monthly donation of 300 boxes of macaroni and cheese. Some months, the club responds to additional needs, providing even more boxes or other pantry items. Since 2019, CWC members have donated over 16,000 boxes of macaroni and cheese, making a significant impact on local food security.

  2. Pillow Pals Program: Established in 2007, the Pillow Pals Program started as a way to support a fellow member in need. By 2018, it had grown into a dedicated committee crafting heart-shaped pillows for breast cancer surgery patients. These pillows offer physical and emotional comfort during recovery. To date, over 1,000 pillows have been donated to area hospitals, providing invaluable support to patients.

Hands-On Service Projects
The club is actively involved in various hands-on service projects, including:

  • Reach Golf Tournament
  • Relay for Life
  • Cypress Point Wellness Bingo
  • Habitat for Humanity Lunches
  • Mesa Food Pantry
  • Holiday Cheer Collections for Meals on Wheels
