Jason’s Deli Opens New Cinco Ranch Location on July 12

July 11 2025

Jason’s Deli is set to open its doors at 7114 S Fry Rd, Katy, TX 77494 in Cinco Ranch tomorrow, Saturday, July 12, at 10:00 a.m., marking the brand’s second location in the Katy area. The new site arrives a year after the deli first announced its plans to expand into this part of town.

Located near Katy-Gaston Road, the 4,727-square-foot restaurant brings the company’s recognizable menu of sandwiches, salads, pastas, baked potatoes, and signature Muffalettas to a growing corner of West Houston. While many in the area have long driven to the existing Grand Parkway location, this new outpost is expected to offer added convenience for Cinco Ranch, Grand Lakes, Westheimer Lakes, and Seven Meadows residents.

Jason’s Deli, which operates more than 250 delis across 28 states, has built its reputation around a commitment to ingredient transparency and what it calls “clean food.” That philosophy includes avoiding artificial colors, high-fructose corn syrup, MSG, and trans fats—initiatives that began more than two decades ago.

The company’s shift away from trans fats started in 2000, at a time when suitable replacements were hard to come by. Over a five-year period, Jason’s Deli worked closely with vendors to develop alternatives that preserved the flavor and texture customers expected. By 2005, its entire menu was trans-fat free. Since then, the brand has continued to make changes, such as removing red dyes from marinara sauces and artificial flavors from vanilla ice milk.

The restaurant also prioritizes sourcing, with certain ingredients coming from longstanding supplier relationships. One notable example is its Muffaletta bread, shipped from Leidenheimer Baking Co. in New Orleans—a vendor Jason’s Deli has worked with since the late 1970s.

With the opening now just hours away, the Cinco Ranch location joins the wider Katy food landscape at a time of steady population growth and suburban development. For nearby families, professionals, and students, the new deli adds another fast-casual option with a focus on fresh preparation and wide-ranging menu choices.

Doors open at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Regular business hours and full menu details are expected to follow the standard format found at other Jason’s Deli locations.
