SANTA CLAUS CAME TO NORTHMEAD
Santa Claus came to Northmead on Saturday, December 11th to the delight of children large and small. Even four legged friends decided they needed to tell Santa they had been good & have their picture taken with the joy old soul. The Northmead HOA would like to say THANK YOU to Santa, Deputy Scott and The Prather Family. A special THANK YOU to Dunn Fencing and McKenna Contracting for helping sponsor the event.

PLEASE DON’T’ BLOCK THE SIDEWAY OR DRIVEWAY
With more people working from home due to Covid, Graham Management is get more complaints about residents blocking the sidewalk with trash bags or lawn trimmings plus vehicles blocking the driveway while our homeowners are out walking the neighborhood. Please be courteous and put your trash bags & lawn clips on the edge of you driveway and if necessary park your car in the street.
DOG LEASH LAW
There have been many complaints about dogs are running loose in the neighborhood. If this is the case, call animal control! If you are walking your dogs, keep them on a leash at ALL times. This is a deed restriction and also against Harris County Leash Law. Be considerate of others. Many children are afraid of animals and also people in the neighborhood do not appreciate dogs running around loose in their lawns. Please pickup after your dogs, no one wants to step in your dog’s poop. Dog Waste Stations have been instated in both parks for your use.
EGRETS AND NIGHT HERONS
Egrets and Night Herons have created nesting sites in Northmead over the past 6 years, not only in the parks but we are seeing nests in the trees on neighborhood streets.. The Egrets and Night Herons HAVE LEFT BUT WILL RETURN IN FEBRUARY!! Prevention is Crucial - Egrets, herons and other migratory birds are protected by Federal International Treaty, it’s illegal for residents to harass or harm the birds once they lay eggs. Residents will need to band together and drive them out of our neighborhood for the next several years. Preventing the birds from building nests on residential property or in our parks is key. Suggestions and tips are in the Copperfield CA article showing January 2022 news on the Copperfield main page of this website.
