In Loving Memory of Susan Waddell
Aberdeen Green’s beloved neighbor and friend, Susan Waddell, passed away in September. Sue was a long time resident of Gaslight Village and a regular First Place Winner of the Holiday Decorating Contest.
Residents of Aberdeen Green, especially the Gaslight Village section, have enjoyed Sue’s holiday inflatable decorations for years. Her yard was decorated for ALL the holidays! We looked forward to seeing her inflatable displays for each holiday year round. The biggest displays were always for Halloween and Christmas - filling her entire yard with colorful and festive display of lights and characters. Neighborhood children (and adults too!) enjoyed the displays on daily walks and loved when new inflatables and lights were added. The Aberdeen Green HOA Board wanted to recognize and honor Sue’s contributions of fun and excitement to the community through her inflatable holiday fantasylands.
The Aberdeen Green HOA Board sends our deepest condolences to her family and friends and prays that you find comfort in your memories of Sue and how she brought smiles and happiness to so many. We also want to mention that if her family wishes to carry on Sue’s tradition, several neighbors have expressed interest in decorating her yard using the holiday inflatables and carrying on her tradition. We love you, Ms. Sue!
