Flower Child Restaurant Coming to Cypress: Healthy Dining Concept Planned for Dunham Pointe Development

West Houston / Cypress  /  West Houston / Cypress
June 20 2026

Residents looking for more healthy dining options in Cypress may soon have something new to look forward to. Flower Child, the fast-growing restaurant brand known for its fresh, made-from-scratch meals and wellness-focused menu, is planning a new location in Dunham Pointe at 14611 Mason Road, Suite 85A, in Cypress.

According to project filings, the new Flower Child restaurant will involve a $1.3 million tenant buildout within an existing shell building. Construction is expected to begin in May 2027 and conclude in November 2027. The 4,575-square-foot restaurant will include a new commercial kitchen, restrooms, lighting, furnishings, fixtures, equipment, and utility connections.

For Cypress residents, the addition reflects another sign of the area's continued growth and evolving dining scene. As new families and businesses continue moving into northwest Harris County, national and regional restaurant brands are increasingly choosing Cypress as a destination for expansion.

What Is Flower Child?

Flower Child has built a loyal following across the country by focusing on fresh ingredients, customizable meals, and options that appeal to a variety of lifestyles. The restaurant's mission centers on serving food that is both flavorful and nourishing, with menu offerings designed for vegetarians, vegans, gluten-conscious diners, and traditional eaters alike.

The concept is part of Fox Restaurant Concepts, the hospitality company founded by restaurateur Sam Fox. Raised in his family's restaurant business in Tucson, Arizona, Fox launched his first restaurant at age 21 and went on to create one of the nation's most recognized collections of dining brands. Today, Fox Restaurant Concepts operates a diverse portfolio that includes Flower Child, Culinary Dropout, Blanco Cocina + Cantina, The Henry, Doughbird, Zinburger, and several other restaurant concepts across the United States.

What Can Diners Expect?

Flower Child has become especially popular for its colorful bowls, salads, wraps, and vegetable-forward menu. Signature dishes include the Mother Earth Bowl, "Forbidden" Rice Bowl, Glow Bowl, Mediterranean Chicken Kabob, Turkey & Avocado Cobb Salad, and a variety of seasonal offerings. The menu also features fresh sides, healthy kids meals, gluten-free options, vegan selections, and house-made beverages.

The restaurant's bright atmosphere and emphasis on wellness have helped it expand rapidly, with locations now operating in states across the country, including Texas, Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, Nevada, North Carolina, Tennessee, Utah, and Virginia. Texas locations currently serve communities in Houston, The Woodlands, Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth, Plano, and Southlake, among others.

Why This Matters for Cypress

The Mason Road corridor continues to attract new retail, restaurant, and commercial investment as Cypress remains one of the Houston area's fastest-growing communities. New dining destinations often become gathering places where families, friends, and neighbors connect, making restaurant openings about more than just food.

For residents seeking healthier restaurant options, convenient takeout, family-friendly dining, or places to meet friends for lunch, Flower Child's arrival could add a fresh dining choice to the area.

While construction is still more than a year away from starting, the project offers an early glimpse at the types of businesses continuing to invest in Cypress and the amenities that may soon be available closer to home.
