Dumont Creamery & Cafe Plans Cypress Location on West Road
Cypress residents could soon have another place to meet for coffee, cool off with ice cream or grab an after-school treat, as Dumont Creamery & Cafe prepares a new location at 21920 West Road.
A recently filed Texas construction project lists a 1,330-square-foot creamery and cafe buildout at 21920 West Rd, Cypress, TX 77095, with approximately $200,000 in renovations planned to transform the existing space into a Dumont Creamery & Cafe.
Construction is listed as beginning Sept. 15, 2026, with completion projected for Feb. 15, 2027. Construction timelines can change, and the filing does not establish an official opening date.
For nearby families, the project adds another dessert-and-coffee concept to a part of Cypress that continues to attract neighborhood-oriented restaurants, services and gathering spots.
From Ice Cream in India to a Growing Texas Brand
Dumont has roots well beyond Texas.
The company traces its beginnings to India in 1999, when it started as a family-run ice cream business. Since then, the brand says it has developed more than 250 ice cream flavors, eventually expanding its concept to include coffee, tea and other cafe beverages.
Dumont’s U.S. presence has expanded primarily through Texas, where locations and projects have appeared in communities including Coppell, Frisco, Southlake, Sugar Land and the Austin-area market. Southlake economic development records, for example, list a Dumont Creamery & Cafe that opened there in 2026.
The brand has also been growing in Greater Houston. A Sugar Land location at 4734 LJ Parkway opened in 2026, according to the Houston Chronicle.
The planned Cypress location would extend Dumont’s reach into northwest Harris County.
What’s on the Dumont Creamery & Cafe Menu?
Dumont is built around three categories the company sums up simply as “Scoops,” “Sips” and “Brews.”
Ice cream remains the centerpiece. Previous Dumont locations have offered more than 20 flavors at a time, with options such as mascarpone raspberry, Jamaican rum, mandarin orange sorbet and Biscoff alongside more traditional selections.
The brand’s flavor lineup often pulls inspiration from different parts of the world. The Sugar Land menu has included mint basil sorbet, Biscoff ice cream and other internationally influenced combinations.
But Dumont has evolved into considerably more than an ice cream shop.
Its cafes also serve espresso drinks, lattes, Americanos and flat whites, along with specialty beverages and bubble tea. Houston-area offerings have included drinks such as lavender lattes, date-cardamom lattes, classic boba, lychee tea and strawberry boba beverages.
Other Dumont menus feature milkshakes, smoothies, milk tea, fruit tea, lemonade, slushes, falooda and bakery items, giving the concept more of an all-day cafe feel than a traditional scoop shop.
That mix is part of what distinguishes the brand. A family could stop in for ice cream, while someone else orders coffee or boba — allowing Dumont to serve several different occasions under one roof.
A Small Space Designed as a Neighborhood Stop
At 1,330 square feet, the Cypress location will not be a large restaurant.
Instead, the planned footprint fits Dumont’s neighborhood cafe model: a relatively compact space centered around desserts, beverages and casual visits.
The West Road address sits in a busy residential and retail area of northwest Harris County, making the location particularly convenient for residents looking for dessert, coffee or boba near Cypress.
The same property is already home to other service businesses, including Ventana Nails & Spa at 21920 West Road, confirming the address as an active commercial center.
For nearby residents, Dumont could become the type of place used differently throughout the day — coffee during the morning, an afternoon drink, an after-school ice cream stop or dessert after dinner.
Dumont Continues Its Texas Expansion
Dumont’s growth has accelerated considerably since entering the U.S. market.
Trademark records for Dumont Creamery & Cafe list first commercial use in the United States in December 2024, while the company behind the U.S. brand was organized in Texas in 2024.
The company is also actively pursuing franchise growth. Its website includes franchise inquiries, and franchise disclosure documents describe the business as a coffee, tea and ice cream cafe operated under the Dumont Creamery & Cafe name.
That expansion helps explain why new Dumont locations have been appearing across fast-growing Texas suburbs.
Cypress, with its large concentration of families, schools, master-planned communities and retail development, fits that suburban growth pattern.
What Happens Next for Dumont Creamery & Cafe in Cypress
The construction filing calls for work at 21920 West Road to continue through Feb. 15, 2027.
An official grand opening date, operating hours and Cypress-specific menu have not yet been announced publicly. Those details typically come closer to opening and may differ from other Dumont locations.
Still, the construction plans offer Cypress residents an early look at another restaurant and dessert concept headed to the area — this one blending ice cream shop, coffeehouse and boba cafe into the same neighborhood space.
