Houston Police Seek Suspect in Fatal Incident at Barker Cypress and I-10
Authorities are searching for a suspect in a fatal shooting that took place at approximately 9:05 p.m. on Tuesday, February 4, at 1206 Barker Cypress Road, near the intersection of Barker Cypress and I-10, across from Texas Children's Hospital - West Campus. The Houston Police Department (HPD) has released a surveillance photo of the suspect and is urging the public to provide any information that could lead to his identification.
According to HPD’s Homicide Division, officers responded to reports of a shooting outside a convenience store at the listed address. Upon arrival, they discovered a 48-year-old female victim unresponsive in the driver’s seat of a black BMW sedan. Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the woman deceased at the scene. Her identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
Investigators believe the suspect exited the passenger seat of the BMW before the shooting occurred. Surveillance footage captured the suspect, who is described as a Black male wearing a gray Nike T-shirt, green pants, and black and white shoes.
