Home Runs for Autism Returns to Constellation Field This April in Sugar Land
Families from across Fort Bend County and Greater Houston are gearing up for a community tradition with a fresh new name: Home Runs for Autism. Previously known as Strike Out Autism, this inspiring event will once again take place at Constellation Field, the home of the Sugar Land Space Cowboys. More than just a day of baseball, Home Runs for Autism shines a spotlight on autism awareness, acceptance, and inclusion—all while raising support for families walking the unique journey of autism.
The event brings together local residents, organizations, volunteers, and supporters for an unforgettable day filled with smiles, celebration, and solidarity. For many, it's become a powerful symbol of hope, a chance to connect with others facing similar challenges, and an opportunity to learn more about how to create a truly inclusive community.
Supporting Families, Spreading Awareness
Rooted in local support and advocacy, this annual event is organized by Hope For Three, a Fort Bend-based nonprofit that advocates solely for autism awareness and family support. Since its founding in 2011, Hope For Three has grown into one of the region’s most impactful autism organizations, delivering monthly assistance and educational outreach to families navigating the often overwhelming realities of an autism diagnosis.
The organization was born from the story of the Montgomery family, Fort Bend residents whose identical triplet daughters were all diagnosed with autism at a young age. After years of battling insurance denials, limited resources, and emotional hardship, the family’s experience sparked a movement to help others facing similar battles.

Autism affects 1 in 31 children nationwide, according to the CDC's April 2025 report, and the need for support is particularly pressing in Fort Bend County, where more than 9,600 students with autism are enrolled in public schools. Hope For Three is the only nonprofit in the region solely focused on autism and is unique in its ability to provide consistent, monthly support to families in need.
A Tradition of Community and Connection
Reimagined as Home Runs for Autism, this event continues the tradition of celebrating inclusion while bringing new energy and visibility to the cause. The event isn't just a fundraiser—it’s a day for families to feel seen, heard, and celebrated.
Participants can expect a welcoming atmosphere filled with engaging activities, the joy of America's favorite pastime, and heartfelt moments that foster empathy and understanding. For many children and their families, this event offers something they don’t often experience: a truly sensory-friendly day out, where acceptance is the rule—not the exception.
Hope For Three’s mission is rooted in the belief that with community support, every child on the spectrum can thrive. From the Montgomery triplets—fondly called the "Triple Divas"—to the hundreds of families they now serve, the message remains the same: persistence, perseverance, and community compassion can change lives.

Making a Difference, One Home Run at a Time
While autism may be a lifelong condition, it’s also a journey that no family should have to walk alone. Events like Home Runs for Autism help ensure that the support systems are not just available—but strong, welcoming, and empowering.
Whether you come for the baseball, the cause, or simply to stand in solidarity, Home Runs for Autism is an open invitation to the Fort Bend and Houston community to come together and make a real difference. As families like the Montgomerys know all too well, the path may not be easy—but with the right support, it’s full of hope.
