Holiday Trash Schedule Update for Colonies: What You Need to Know
As the holiday season approaches, residents of Colonies in Harris County MUD 102 should take note of important updates to the trash and recycling pickup schedule provided by Texas Pride Disposal.
No Pickup on Major Holidays
Texas Pride Disposal will not collect trash or recycling on three key holidays this year:
- Thanksgiving Day – Thursday, November 27
- Christmas Day – Thursday, December 25
- New Year’s Day – Thursday, January 1
If your regular service day falls on one of these dates, pickup will resume on the next scheduled collection day.
What This Means for The Colonies Residents
For neighbors in Colonies, trash is typically collected on Mondays and Thursdays, and recycling is collected on Mondays. When one of the above holidays falls on your collection day, simply hold your items until the next regularly scheduled service. There will be no make-up day, so it’s important to plan ahead to avoid overflowing bins or missed pickups.
